Situation:

The inn has six double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, television, hairdryer and heating.
On the ground floor there is a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, where there is a small bar service, exclusively for our guests and a friendly dining room, which is where we serve breakfasts.
Outside the house there are 2500 square metres of gardens, with a surrounding 3 m high wall so that you can enjoy all the privacy and peace and quiet of the countryside and the open air

500 m from the beach in Somo, we find a typical "montañesa” house dating back to the 18th-century (1759 according to a publication from the Cantabria Cultural Heritage), which has been restored and converted into an inn by the current owners.
The restoration work has been carried out paying special attention to preserving the original style of this type of building, using fine materials of stone and wood (oak and chestnut) and providing all the modern-day comforts that our guests could wish for.
Coming along the A8 take exit nº 11 (Heras-Pedreña) or instead nº 7 (Pontejos-Pedreña-Somo).
Coming from Asturias, the Escudo mountain pass or Reinosa follow the motorway towards Santander and take the exit for Bilbao-Aeropuerto, which goes onto the A8 and there, take exit nº 7 Pontejos-Pedreña-Somo.
In both cases, once you pass over Somo bridge, take the first exit on the right, where you will see the first sign for Cuadrante and which is 400 m from the house.

Hola hemos estado 4 días en septiembre en esta bonita posada rural. Nos costó mucho decidirnos, pues la oferta es amplia. Después de tanta duda, creo que nuestra elección fue muy acertada. La casa es muy bonita, decorada con mucho gusto y cuidando los detalles. Está limpísima, incluso las alfombras de la posada están impólutas. El desayuno aceptable, y con mucho mimo. Hemos estado en agosto y hemos disfrutado de tres días perfectos. El jardín estaba preciosímo y la habitación era un apartamento precioso con un gusto inmejorable. Hay un restaurante para cenar al lado, que repetimos todos los días. Maria Luisa nos aconsejó perfectamente tanto en excursiones como en gastronomía. Lo soñaré en mis noches de invierno madrileñas. Para volver y recomendar sin dudarlo.
Hemos estado unos dias a finales de Julio en la Posada y nos ha parecido un lujo. Desde el trato de las propietarias hasta el último detalle son de una exquisitez extraordinaria, la discreción de ambas asi como su afabilidad son dignas de destacar. Las instalaciones son inmejorables; creo que hay pocos hoteles que las puedan superar. El jardin es un lujo y una preciosidad. En fin en resumen una estancia maravillosa y para repetirla.

Quedamos encantados tanto con el alojamiento como con el pueblo y sobre todo la playa de somo y las vistas que tiene de Santander...
La posada es preciosa, la propietaria encantadora y muy amable, la decoración estupenda, y tiene detalles que no había visto en ningún sitio... Muy recomendable, nos encantaría volver con más tiempo...

La Posada es preciosa, estuvimos en el apartamento y era una gran casa decorada con gusto junto a la posada, el trato fue exquisito y nos gustó mucho. Un lugar muy recomendable.
