The owner´s comments
It was a wheelwrights´ home into the "Cabaña Real de Carreteros" (wheelwrights´ royal ranch). There was a ground floor, where you could see the stable; the first floor where there were the bedrooms and kitchen, which were around a central courtyard; and the attic or loft, which was traditionally used, among other uses, as a straw loft.
Nowadays, it has been restored conserving its frame and using the same materials which were used in the past. It has been adapted for its new purpose: inn. That is why it has the following layout: on the first floor, we have got eight double rooms with complete bathroom and the antique fireplace which is situated in the place where the old former cooker used to be.. On the second floor, we have got six double loft rooms with complete bathroom and hydro-massage bath.
In our Inn, you will taste some local grilled meat (veal and young lamb) and products from the slaughtering season which you will eat together with the locally grown mushrooms, and "zorros" or "sobadillos", which are the traditional cakes of Casarejos. You will also find a select and family environment.
The Inn "Cabaña Real de Carreteros" has received the hallmark from "Posadas Reales" (Royal Inns). This is a hallmark of tourist excellence in Castile-Leon.
