Mas del Rei is an old farmhouse dating from the 11th century in the borough of El Matarraña (Calaceite). Situated in a beautiful natural setting of 25 hectares of woodland, meadows and olive and almond groves, it is the perfect spot for getting away from it all, far from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The house has recently been restored by its four owners and fitted out as a hotel while respecting its original architecture to the full. Within its 800 m2, the hotel has eight guest rooms (two suites and six double rooms), each of them unique and original, with their own entrance; a library in the former kitchen; a wine cellar; a lounge where guests can relax in peace and quiet; a restaurant that serves fine cuisine cooked on the premises using natural produce from the farmhouse’s own kitchen garden; a courtyard where guests can savour the cool and listen to music; outdoor spots where you can sit in tranquil contemplation and allow all your senses to draw in inspiration from the natural surroundings. This is, in short, a charming country hotel.
Volíem uns dies de descans, aprofitar una escapada sense fills, i vam trobar el lloc ideal: tranquil, enmig de la natura, bon menjar,... Els propietaris ens van explicar quins llocs podíem visitar, quines excursions es podien fer, vaja! que van ser 4 dies de vacances molt ben aprofitats, i amb ganes de repetir, perquè ens van quedar encara moltes coses per veure, i perquè Mas del Rei és un lloc on et queden ganes de tornar. De fet, ho hem recomanat a alguns amics, que confio que ens faran cas.

Hay momentos en la vida en que se necesita tranquilidad,
descanso, comer bien y dormir mejor. Este es el lugar perfecto para ello. Si además se quiere
ve bellos paisajes, campos maravillosamente cuidados, montañas, pueblos encantadores a pocos minutos unos de otros, también es un lugar perfecto. Las posibilidades de hacer ejercicio, por ejemplo excursiones por los Puertos de Beceite,son abundantes.
