The hotel consists of 20 rooms ensuite, each with telephone, TV, heating and air conditioning. For the convenience of our handicapped guests, we offer a special room adapted to their needs, in addition the hotel is wheelchair accessible in all areas. Visitors will enjoy a spectacular view of the Monastery or the woodland from any of the rooms.
The true jewel of the hotel is the restaurant. Its innovative design makes the visitor feel as if he were on the stage of a large theatre, enjoying the exceptional panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. However, it is not just the original design that makes the restaurant unique, but the skills of our chef. In the restaurant you can always enjoy fresh local produce in season, excellently prepared to satisfy a wide range of demands, whether it be family meals, business lunches, romantic dinners, or simply the menu of the day – all accompanied, of course, by the best wines of the Ribera del Duero region.

El Prado de las Merinas Hotel-Restaurant is located on a hectare of land surrounded by charming countryside. The peace and quiet are broken only by the singing of the birds and the rippling of the Gromejón, the stream that flows by the hotel grounds.
The fireplace in the reading room will delight our clients, who are sure to enjoy many a cozy evening in front of the fire. The billiards room, the gym and padel court complete the hotel’s leisure facilities.
A conference room for 30 people, fully furnished with audio-visual equipment and Internet connection, is available to those companies who wish to organize courses, conferences, seminars, etc...
El Prado de las Merinas is located in Caleruega, a quiet village with a population of about 500 in the region of Burgos. Visitors will find a treasure of history, art, traditions and nature in this little corner of Castille. You’ll be charmed by the Dominican Monks’ Monastery and the Dominican Nuns’ Convent. We recommend a visit to the Museum of Romanic art, which is located in the convent and don´t forget to taste the delicious cakes and pastry baked by the nuns.

Nosotros hemos estado hace poco comiendo en el restaurante y he de decir que la comida fue excepcional. No esperábamos menos porque nos lo habían recomendado.
Los jardines son muy amplios y con muchas zonas para que jueguen los niñós. La única recomendación es que al cesped le haría falta un poco más de agua ya que se veía bastante seco. Por lo demás todo fenomenal.

Hemos estado 2 parejas y una niña estas fiestas de Semana Santa en este hotel que es impresionante,las habitaciónes son amplias y las vistas muy bonitas desde la ventana, eljardin que es muy bonito y el Monasterio de Caleruega al fondo.
Destacar el trato recibido a Helena,Jorge y sus padres que en todo momento han estado pendientes de que estuvieramos agusto en el hotel y nos han guiado en las excursiones de la zona.Quizas si que hemos hechado de menos unos columpios en el jardin y una sa

Owner’s reply Desde la dirección del hotel queremos agradecer la opinión que nos ha permitido descubrir algunos detalles acerca de la limpieza de las habitaciones de los que no éramos conscientes. Hemos mejorado el proceso con el fin de eliminar estos "pequeños, grandes detalles". Sólo lamentamos que no se informara al responsable durante la estancia para solucionarlo en el momento.

Nos hemos reunido 14 personas para desintoxicarnos de la Capital y hemos acertado de pleno. El hotel es muy tranquilo, con amplias habitaciones, bien acondicionadas y muy confortable. Tienen un enorme restaurante donde se puede degustar una carta no extensa pero esmerada y de muy buena relación calidad-precio.. Muchas gracias a René y sobretodo a Helena, por estar pendiente en todo momento de nosotros. Volveremos,y esta vez, con niños.
