Outdoors, you can enjoy a lovely barbecue and from the terrace/dining room there is a 75 m2, adjoining room which is ideal for recreation for the younger members of the family, with a football table, a large variety of books, a 50 inch television and karaoke.

This is a typical 15th century Catalan farmhouse which has been fully restored and is situated in an area of superb landscapes, overlooking Riudarenes, part of the Selva-Girona district.
The house is built on a large 3.000 m2 area of closed land, full of vegetation and its own private swimming pool. The surrounding area is full of forests with all kinds of trees and fields of crops.
Also, its proximity to the Mediterranean motorway, the N-II and the Eje Transversal de Cataluña, makes it an excellent point of departure for a wide range of cultural excursions and sports activities.
Horse riding: in the nearby village of Vidreres there are some stables where you can go horse riding

Gerona: the thousand year old city, where you can visit the Call, the best preserved Jewish Quarter in Catalonia, with its narrow streets that take us back to Medieval times. Also, its 16th century cathedral, famous for having the largest gothic nave in the world

Banyoles: the town with the largest lake in Catalonia and which is situated 15 km. to the west of the city of Girona
La Bisbal d´ Empordà: a small town situated between Girona and the Central Costa Brava.. It is famous for its pottery market
Tossa de Mar, famous for its monumental walls and for the selection of lovely beaches such as Platja Gran, Salions, Porto Pi, Del Llorell...

Take exit 9 from the AP-7 motorway towards Maçanet de la Selva, and go towards Girona along the N-II, turning off at the junction at Sils - Sta. Coloma de Farners
Go through the villages of Sils and Riudarenes.
As you are leaving this last village, at km 20, after the bus stop, turn right along a country lane and carry straight on, always going up, and after 800 m you will come to a farmhouse surrounded by crops on the right-hand side.

Ca l´Estrada est exactement ce que nous cherchions: Espace, équipement, tranquilité, proximité des lieux touristiques. Tous ces paramètres sont vraiment de très haute qualité,et le professionalisme de Monsieur VERDAGUER y est sans doute pour beaucoup.
Mes amis et moi-même gardons un souvenir impérissable de notre séjour et nous n´hésiterons pas une seule seconde à réitérer cette expérience ni à promouvoir la location de ce gîte fantastique.

Hemos el primer fin de semana de septiembre de 2007. Ha sido un fin de semana perfecto. Las 2 masias muy bien equipadas, le hemos sacado partido a los dardos, la barbacoa, lás cadenas de música, las cocinas, pero sobretodo al exterior , piscina, mesas de ping pong. Lo primero que hicimos al llegar a la masia fue pedirle una tarjeta al propietario, para poder organizar otro fin de semana así. La opinión general : Hay que repetirlo !!!

Estuvimos 4 familias, el fin de semana. Disfrutando de verdad, grandes y pequeños. La casa nos ha encantado, los detalles hacen que te sientas como en tu propia casa, es acogedora , limpia y muy amplia.
La piscina genial, (aun estando en el mes de octubre pudimos hacer uso de ella) la han aprovechado sobre todos los niños. El entorno de la casa con las vistas y la profundidad de campo inmmejorable, se respira una tranquilidad que invita a volver sin duda.
Hicimos de boletaires con èxito.

Estuvimos en octubre de 2004, la casa es una pasada, estan todos los detalles muy cuidados, una maravilla, a la piscina y los dardos les sacamos un gran partido, y los alrededores una maravilla, pensamos repetir el proximo Octubre.
