El Olmo is a lovely country house where you can enjoy all the peace and tranquillity in a comfortable and spacious accommodation, both on the inside and outside and which had an extension built and was fully renovated in March 2007.
In a privileged location : it is located in the Mountains or "Sierra" in the village of Posadas (Córdoba), part of the Hornachuelos nature reserve, and declared a Biosphere Reserve.
Only 2 km from the centre of the village. It is half an hour away by road from Córdoba, and 1 hour away from Seville. It has excellent communication links by train . There is a tarmac road leading right up to the house.
Activities
Casa Rural El Olmo has agreements with several companies in the area, specialising in leisure and adventure activities, enabling guests to have access to these in a very efficient manner and guaranteeing safety.
Canoeing:
Our accommodation is located in the Guadalquivir valley and as a result, only ten minutes away, we find two large reservoirs "El
Bembezar" and "La Breña", both offering watersports. La Breña even has its own nautical club. Here, you can not only visit them for their great beauty but also go fishing; this is a great place to catch some magnificent carp in La Breña, as well as pike and black bass in the Bembezar, although the latter in its upper part (which is of great natural beauty) is not navigable.
Hiking:
Given that it is situated right in the foothills of the Hornachuelos nature reserve, there are many existing hiking routes to discover areas offering some magnificent scenery. The different levels of difficulty make it ideal for both experts hikers and amateurs.. Some of them can even be done by mountain bike.
Hunting and shooting:
Our accommodation is located in the middle of a privileged hunting area with the main activity being big game hunting and, in the hunting season, it is quite usual to find these at all different prices and standards. As well as this, we have signed an agreement with a company that specialises in the releasing of pheasants and partridges and therefore we offer a very extensive small game hunting programme which stretches from October through to March.
Hunting and Shooting:
Only 5 minutes away from our accommodation you can enjoy the magnificent Olympic shooting range in Posadas, where, as well as practising your shooting, you can take part in the many competitions that they run.
Guided tours:
We have organised a tour around our village (Posadas) where we will show you both the history and the beauty and richness of its culture and surrounding scenery.
Horseriding routes:
Horseriding is a very popular activity in our village and there are quite a few people who are available give you a lovely tour of the beautiful countryside.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines fabuleuses dans cette région. Le gîte et l´accueil de "Pépé" et "Sensi" resteront dans nos mémoires comme un excellent souvenir ! A conseiller sans modération !!!
Hemos estado con nuestros hijos pasando 15 dias en agosto, la casa muy comoda, grande, limpia. El conjunto jardin , piscina y barbacoa geniales,por las noches en el porche con la barbacoa y una temperatura buena, hacia que las veladas fueran estupendas,
hemos estado tan a gusto que no nos apetecía ni movernos de alli ni hacer excursiones, la casa en conjunto es muy tranquila, muy buena paradescansar que era lo que nosotros buscabamos.
No puedo despedirme sin comentar como hemos estado atendido

Tal vez porque las anteriores casas alquiladas mediante Top Rural fueron nuevas o reformadas recientemente, esta casa no nos dio la buena impresión que teníamos por las fotos que vimos en la página, a ello se le juntaron el mobiliario viejo (que no antíguo) las piedrecitas de los grifos y el botiquín caducado.. Todos estos pequeños detalles se fueron olvidando con el buen trato y disponibilidad de Pepe, el propietario, lo espaciosas que eran las dependencias, la

En la casa El Olmo hemos pasado tres dìas estupendos. Es una casa muy amplia, con todos los servicios, piscina fabulosa y limpia, entorno muy agradable, lugar tranquilo.
Destacaria ademàs de lo dicho la comodidad de sus tres baños, sus fabulosos colchones y la ambilidad del dueño, Pepe, que aún después de dejar la casa fue a buscar unas cosas que habiamos olvidado y que ibamos a mandar recoger.
Volveremos seguramente en otra ocasión.

La verdad es que a pesar de las fotos no nos esperabamos una casa asi, todas las instalaciones son de primera y una piscina enorme. Si quereis disfrutar de tranquilidad y relajaros unos dias no dejeis de venir, pero sobre todo vais a encontrar en los dueños un trato y una amabilidad de primera. Yo creo que repetire.
