The Cortijo Prado Toro (an Andalusian farmhouse) is located in the Alpujarra Nature Reserve, to the south of the Sierra Nevada National Park at an altitude of 1.450 metres. It faces the south with wide panoramic as it is possible to see the sea and the African mountains on clear days.
The construction of the Farmhouse is a recent one although it keeps accurately its stone and wood style of the Alpujarra. There are 5 apartments which have been furnished with great quality and decorated with simplicity in the traditional style. They are arranged in a way that gives total privacy and independence to our clients..
The gardens that surround the property are a subtle transition from the wild mountains to the most classic Nazarite orchard, where we can find indigenous aromatic plants, the orchard and the most beautiful flowers and trees together with the babbling of the water from the springs which runs through these gardens. Our clients are allowed to stroll all over the property about 7 hectares full of holm oaks , which is a little bit far from the houses, and enjoy the round swimming pool.
There are 5 comfortable apartments which have been totally equipped, furnished and decorated in the traditional style.
The Farmhouse can be entered by a two-kilometres forest path; it is located 10 minutes far from the townships of Pitres, Bubion and Capileira..
From the road Granada Motril, take the exit "Lanjaron - Alpujarras". Before arriving Órgiva, make a detour towards Trevelez, Capileira. Passing
Pampaneira, near the Petrol station, turn to the left towards Bubion and Capileira. In Capileira, phone 608-842436 to ask for the road up to the Farmhouse.

We have just returned from our third visit to Prado Toro. Each time we have had a different apartment, and each has its own character and charm, and is private and well furnished in traditional Andalucian style. The grounds allow plenty of room to bask in the sun, but also plenty of shade when needed.. The views are stunning, particularly from the wonderful circular swimming pool.. Ludet is a welcoming and helpful host, pointing you in the direction of the best restaurants and walks! It´s a wonder

We were already familiar with Las Alpujarras, this being our second visit to the region. The stunning beauty and hospitality found in this area had drawn us back and, in the Cortijo Prado Toro, we found the perfect base for us to enjoy it´s splendour.. Being of traditional construction from localy sourced materials and tucked away up on a forested hillside we really felt at one with the environment enabling us to relax and enjoy the surroundings. This, coupled with the support and advice of Ludet

We have just returned from a very enjoyable one week stay at Prado Toro.
The traditional style house is situated at the end of a dirt track about 5 minutes from the nearest road and commands spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. It is very peaceful; the only sounds are of bird song, the trickle of water in the fountains and the rustle of leaves in the trees.
We rented a well-equipped and furnished one bedroom apartment which even had it´s own enclosed court-yard complete with a c

This is our third visit to Cortijo Prado Toro and it will probably become an annual event.. The accommodation is superb and the owner helpful and friendly.. We always visit at Easter and it´s always snug and warm. If Easter is late the Wisteria is in full bloom. The walking is superb.. On this trip we experienced an eagle at close range. Highly recommended.
Our first reaction upon arrival : WOW !
Beautiful appartments in a wonderful setting, great views, very peaceful and quiet and yet close to little villages and main cities.
We stayed a week, made some great hiking trips, the national park is your neighbour !!!, enjoyed our great terrace with splendid views and slept like dogs with all this peaceful tranquillity.
Great place and great host.
