El Sequer is a typical 19thC farm building known as a riu-rau, formerly used to produce raisins. Rescued from a complete state of abandonment, its new owners carried out an integral and respectful restoration conserving both traditional architectural features and materials (bamboo cane ceilings, wooden beams, stone walls, terracotta floors, original well, etc) while outfitting it with modern installations and equipment and a light and cosy decoration to offer a pleasant and comfortable rural holiday accommodation.
Today it is one of the most charming rural houses in the area.
This self-catering rural retreat can accommodate up to 4 people and is equipped with heating, air-conditioning, a wide range of kitchen appliances, audiovisual equipment, quality bed and bath linen, cot and two bicycles.
Outdoors, the guests can enjoy a secluded garden, private swimming pool, barbecue, fruit orchard and panoramic views over the valley and mountains from the terrace.
Located on the outskirts of the small village of Benimeli, in one of the most fertile valleys of Alicante’s Marina Alta region, surrounded by orange groves at the foot hills of the Segaria mountain range, the cottage is only a 3 minute walk from the village centre. Situated in an absolutely peaceful environment, but only 10 minutes from some of the best beaches of the Mediterranean coast between Oliva and Denia. This privileged location makes it the ideal place for a couple or small family to spend a holiday, where nature can be enjoyed in its true splendour, but within easy reach of other places of interest, culture and an excellent gastronomic offer.
The owners offer a personalized attention to their guests, facilitating detailed information about the area and a cleaning and maintenance service of the house, pool and garden.

We´ve just come back from a wonderful, relaxing few days in this delightful cottage. The cottage itself is perched at the top of a sleepy village with a mountain backdrop.. And is only just a few miles from some excellent quiet, sandy beaches. It has extensive views of the surrounding sierra with orange trees as far as the eye can see; you really would be hard pushed to find a more idyllic location. Quería dejar pasar unos días antes de publicar mi opinión, ya que esta podría estar adulterada debido a la embriaguez de satisfacción y tranquilidad con la que salimos de El Sequer. Han pasado diez días y ya en frío os puedo decir que lo que siento ahora es una gran añoranza y una palabra... volver.

Desde luego la calidad de esta casa debe ir con mayúsculas. Para relajarse y disfrutar. La casa tiene detalles de todo tipo, equipación, decoración, información, etc. El dosier que te dejan sobre la casa no tiene desperdicio, y es exhaustivo y fidedigno. Jennifer y Oswaldo te lo explican todo, no sólo de la casa, sino de la zona y actividades, y no como dueños de la casa, lo hcaen como verdaderos amigos y orgullosos de lo conseguido con la casa y preocupados en mantenerla y en los visitantes.
