Rural House, placed in an old house built at the begining of the last century, completely rehabilitated but preserving all its typical arquitectonical characteristic. We have 8 double rooms, all of them with central heating, duvets and a very carefully decoration with an arabic inspiration. There is a big sitting-room with a fireplace where you can enjoy playing with board games, talking or reading.. Breakfast and dinner are served in a spacious dinning-room.
The rural house El Olivo is located in Cástaras, a small village in the heart of the Alpujarra area in Granada. Surrounded by exhuberant Mediterranean vegetation, during your stay you will feel the relaxing effect of the sound of water running. Admire from your room, a thousand meters above sea level, the breath-taking landscape of the sides of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Cástaras is a little village, with whitewashed houses and ´launa´ (moorish style) roofs. Moorish architecture is still visible in houses and the traditional narrow, steep streets. The village church is worth visiting, as it posseses a very well preserved Mudejar coffered ceiling
Somos un grupo que cada año escogemos una fecha para viajar todos juntos y despejarnos de trabajo. Este año elegimos esta casa para descansar y visitar la Alpujarra. Estuvimos a finales de octubre, un fin de semana, y la experiencia es maravillosa, la casa esta cuidadosamente decorada y es es acogedora la mires pon donde la mires.
