This Accommodation, which was originally an old house in the hamlet of Rodalquilar, and later renovated and converted into a Rural House, is made up of 3 accommodations (sleeping 2, 3 and 4 people).. Each one preserves the appearance and features of this very special ancient mining hamlet. Casa Rural Álex is a rural and beach option, the ideal place for you to enjoy a natural and very pleasant setting.
All the accommodations are fully equipped, with a carefully chosen and looked after rustic decoration, which blends in with the typical craftsmanship of the area, as well as being very comfortable indeed.

Activities
Set in a unique area of untouched beaches and scenic routes, where you can do a wide variety of activities, such as underwater diving, hiking, bicycle routes, horse riding routes, guided 4x4 tours, boat trips, canoeing...
One of the main attractions is a visit to the Rodalquilar Gold Mines and Factory, a historical document of this special picturesque mining village, without forgetting to mention the numerous paths and routes, leading to the old farmhouses, water wheels… which have written the history of the area, and some of them were once even famous, such as the Cortijo del Fraile which served as an inspiration for the writer and poet, Federico García Lorca in his famous play "Bodas de Sangre"

Rodalquilar is right in the centre of all the activities of one of the most important nature reserves in Andalusia: The Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Reserve. This is made up of 38,000 hectares of land and 45 km.. of coastline, and was declared a Nature Reserve on the 23 December, 1987
The traveller will be able to enjoy the superb scenery, both of its lovely beaches with its fine sandy natural coves and clear waters that alternate with the high rugged cliffs . These beaches will offer the visitor the opportunity to discover the wonderful seabed with a wide variety of fauna and vegetation
If you prefer you can venture out onto the many routes and paths, wandering through mountains and volcanoes... and therefore delight in one of the most representative ecosystems in the arid areas of the south east of Spain.. This is an important tourist area throughout the year, because of its soft climate (its annual average temperature is 20° and the average water temperature is 17° C., the warmest in the Peninsula)
Rodalquilar offers different catering services, where you will be able to taste the many typical dishes of the area, it has an Art Exhibition which houses a wide selection of works of art by painters, sculptors, ceramicists, and many more, as well as an information office
Another highlight is the Albardinal Botanical Garden; with its natural flora and typical agriculture of the semi-arid areas of Eastern Andalusia. And, of course, a wonderful Diving Centre for those who want to submerge into the depths of ours seas

Mi amiga Minia y yo hemos pasado 5 días en esta casa de Rodalquilar, y la experiencia ha sido muy satisfactoria. El estudio es amplio, limpio y está bien dotado. Luís y Yolanda son encantadores y gracias a ellos pudimos conocer más rincones del Cabo de Gata. ¡Gracias por vuestra ayuda y disposición! Seguro que volveremos

Hemos estado en Semana Santa en Rodalquilar y la verdad, volvemos a casa nuevos.El pueblo es pequeño y muy tranquilo, una maravilla para desconectar de ciudad y trabajo. El apartamento de Casa Alex nos ha encantado, limpio, agradable, con todo lo necesario y muy acogedor.
Luis y Yolanda (los propietarios) se portaron de maravilla dandonos informacion de donde ir, donde comer, que hacer etc. Fuimos con nuestra hija de ocho meses y todo fue perfecto asi que muchas gracias a Luis y Yolanda por to

Estuvimos una semana a primeros de septiembre y la experiencia fue inolvidable. Nos quedamos enganchados con CASA ALEX, Luis (el propietario)
y Rodalquilar.
La relación calidad/precio excelente. Limpio , sencillo y dotado de todo lo necesario.
Luis es el mejor guía de la zona. Su ayuda fue de gran valor para conocer las calas mas escondidas y paradisíacas del Cabo de Gata y sus conocimientos del entorno gastronómico inapreciables.
¡Gracias Luis por hacer nuestra estancia tan agradable!

Somos de Málaga y este es nuestro tercer año consecutivo de vacaciones en Cabo de Gata. Buscamos tranquilidad, limpieza y comodidad en los alojamientos, y decidimos probar este verano a pasar 10 días en Rodalquilar. Casa Rural Álex cumplió nuestras expectativas con creces. La relación calidad/precio es insuperable y sus dueños (Yolanda y Luis) son simpáticos, encantadores y muy serviciales. Si les consultas verás que son "una enciclopedia con patas" de Rodalquilar y del Cabo de Gata, en general.
