Can Barceló is a Catalan farmhouse, situated on the outskirts of the village of Vilobí d´Onyar, in the Selva region, of the province of Girona. Records of the house date back to the 14th Century and today it is used for agricultural purposes, more precisely, for the growing of cereal crops and walnut trees.
La Selva region is also known as the water region, as it houses quite a large number of natural water sources. It contrasts the waters of the sea, with the Costa Brava and towns such as Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar and Blanes, all of which are joined by a series of small coves that overwhelm the visitors that discover them.
Our house is in an ideal setting for the sea, visits to the city of Girona... and if you do not fancy going anywhere, then you can enjoy the large and spacious garden and welcoming indoors.
One of the most important features is the rich gastronomy of the area, as it combines the inland agricultural products with those obtained from the sea and creates many mixed dishes called “sea and mountain”, i.e. meat and fish or meat and fruit in one single dish ( Example: Chicken with crabs, or Duck with pears, etc.)

The protected area of the Crosa Volcano in the same municipality, spa water 10 kilometres away, Girona and all its province with a large variety of activities (pottery, monuments, sea, mountain...) in easy reach.
La Selva is well linked by lanes and roads, which, in a very short time, will take us to mountain areas or to the Costa Brava, where you will be able to discover some wonderful spots, of artistic and historical beauty, which will help you to enjoy your stay with us.
We are situated in Catalonia, Spain, within the province of Girona and the district of La Selva.
You can reach Girona by following the A-7 motorway, or instead the N-II.
Along the A-7 motorway:
- go as far as Exit 8 "Aeropuerto Girona - Costa Brava"
- take the road towards the Girona-Costa Brava airport.
- go round the roundabout and on the right you will find the junction for "Vilobí d´Onyar"
- around 2.5 km from this point, and a short distance before the village of Vilobí d´Onyar, you will see a signpost on the right for "Salitja".
- again, on the right, only 50 m further on, between the trees, you will find a path that leads to the house.
If you are coming along the N-II, from the North (France):
- go through the city of Girona and 10 km further on, towards Barcelona, on the right, you will find the turning for Girona-Costa Brava airport.
- from here, follow the same signs as if you are coming from the motorway.
If you are coming along the N-II, from the South (from Barcelona):
- take the turning for the Girona-Costa Brava Airport
- from here, follow the same signs as if you are coming from the motorway.

We were 6 adults and 3 kids ages 2-3 who stayed for a week and loved it. When we arrived we got a thorough introduction by the owner of the house, who lived in another part of the building, and who was very helpful throughout our stay, but never imposed. everything was very fresh and clean and the house has great atmosphere but is tastefully modernized. We loved that it had toys and stuff for the kids, dishwasher and washing mashine and a very nice pool.

La casa es preciosa y muy espaciosa. Pasamos el fin de semana 16 personas de reunión familiar (abuelos, padres, tíos y nietos)y no nos faltó de nada. Lástima de la cercanía del aeropuerto de Girona y del tránsito de aviones en las horas punta.
Hem passat un cap de setmana fantàstic.En Quim ens ha explicat moltes coses i les seves nous són exquisites.La casa és ampla, neta
i molt agradable.

Hola, hemos estado en este alojamiento rural y nuestra opinión no puede ser más favorable. Como se ha dicho, el señor Joaquim estuvo atentísimo a que no faltase nada. Y la casa es acogedera y en esta época tiene un encato otoñal muy especial.
La casa es genial. Hem estat 13 persones aquesta setmana santa i em estat molt bé. El Senyor Quim molt atent, no ens ha faltat de res. Tot molt net i amb totes les comoditats, piscina, camp de volei, parc infantil, barbacoa, estris de cuina i de la llar.. Perfecte. Ho recomanem a tothom.
