Cal Plaça is a county lodging in the low part of the town of Sedó in the municipal term of Torrefeta i Florejacs, located in the right margin of the river Sió. Cal Plaça is a three floors house which occupies the central part of an old large 16th century lordliness house built by the merchant Joan Carbonell in 1588. During the second half of the 18th century this large house was divided in three, being the central part the one known as Cal Plaça (name given at the beginning of the 20th century). Until the beginning of the civil war, this space worked as a dance hall and the village´s cafe.
Today the town of Sedó still retains some vestiges of its medieval past and of the economic splendor of the 16th century. A village of 130 neighbours Sedó keeps a traditional store and butcher shop, and the pool with bar services in summer. Beautiful surroundings to relax and privileged environment to walk on foot or by bike from where you will be able to appreciate the landscape of the district of La Segarra. It is certainly spectacular to explore the pathways and valleys of La Segarra with its castles which are an integral part of the landscape and which create medieval atmosphere.
From Sedó and Cal Plaça, a lodging of quality, you will be able to live and to enjoy the quietness, the landscape and the colors of La Segarra in all their intensity. Jordi Oliva and Maria Garganté are very pleased to give you a warm welcome and offer
our house in Sedó, a charming village at the heart of Catalonia. It is ideally situated. See you in Sedó!
