The gîte (apartment), fully air conditioned and equipped for 4-6 people, is available all year round
It has been formed from the old grenier (or attic) of the “maison vigneron” and has been tastefully modernised whilst retaining as many of the original features as possible (the timber beams in the ceiling are more than 150 years old and measure more than 45 feet in length)

"Le Coq du Nord" is a luxurious modern Bed and Breakfast (Chambres d´hôtes) and independent apartment (Gîte) which are situated in an original old wine grower’s house in the tranquil village of Mailhac, within easy reach of all the delightful opportunities on offer in the Minervois and this secluded region of France, close to the border with Spain.
An ideal base to discover the region, it also serves as a home away from home and allows all of the users a fully climate controlled haven of peace in which to relax and enjoy the pleasures of life in the Minervois.

To the East are the roman cities of Béziers and Narbonne which straddle the Canal du Midi and the Canal de la Robinne
En route you can visit the prestigious olive oil mill of L´Oulibou which is situated on the outskirts of Bize Minervois
Go west to visit the most beautiful medieval city of Carcassonne, or further afield to Toulouse or the famous Périgord
El apartamento es fantastico, tiene todas las comodidades y esta muy límpio (lo que se ve en las fotos y más). La piscina y zona comunitaria también es un encato. Los dueños son muy amables, dispuestos a ayudarte, aconsejarte sitios, etc y sobre todo desde el primer momento te hacen sentir como en casa, entre amigos. Recomendable al 100%, probablemente volveremos.
