The accommodation offers four fully equipped rural apartments, sleeping 4 people in each: with a dining room, bedrooms and two 90 cm as a sofa, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, including: washing machine, fridge, microwave, cooking hob, kitchen utensils.. Air conditioning and TV.
The ground floor is a wine cellar with all the different wines of the D.O Utiel-Requena region, as well as local food produce.
The remains found in the cellar are part of the Fortress of
Requena Castle, which dates back to the time of the Catholic Kings.
Activities
Wine tasting courses with different levels: an optional lunch or dinner in the Restaurante Mesón Fortaleza, situated next to the Wine Cellar, and which belongs to the actual accommodation complex. Groups: mín. 8 people, maximum 20.
Horse riding routes and adventure sports organized by the Ekiaventura team
Visits to wine producers and the purchasing of typical local products.
Interesting Places
From the building, we have a lovely view of the Castle and the Parade Ground (Alcazaba), the front defending wall of the Fortress, which is really close. It is situated in the old part of the town and near the two 14th century Gothic Isabelina Churches, El Salvador and Santa Maria.
If we continue towards the Plaza del Albornoz, in the centre of the Old Town, we find the Cuevas de la Villa or Caves: built by our ancestors, taking advantage of the limestone and the underground clay and which have been used for different purposes, such as a refuge in times of war, for the storage of food and also as cellars to produce and preserve wines.
During your visit you will have the pleasure of observing more than 27 centuries of history, from the Iberian origin, through to the Imperial Roman times, the Moorish occupation, from where it gets its name: “the strong, the safe”. Its Hispanic-Moorish past and later Christian heritage, until we get to the 19th century. You will be able to wander around the town visiting its hidden corners, ironwork, passageways where you cannot pass with your arms outstretched and large houses with their overhanging eaves.
AAAAHHH!!!! El apartamento muy bonito y cómodo y eso que fuimos 2 adultos y 2 niños de 3 y 1 año, servicio de toallas para cada uno y de sábanas, todo lo necesario para pasar unos días, su situación no podía ser la mejor, en la villa y en una zona tranquila y muy bonita, para repetir pero más dias, tan solo un fin de semana no dá para mucho.Lo recomendamos, gracias!

Nos gustó mucho, hemos estado 3 días estupendos allí, el apartamento genial, muy buen cuidado y un trato excepcional. Lo recomiendo, lo malo... muy poco tiempo para disfrutar.
