El Calambuco is a rural accommodation company in the town of Villanueva de la Vera, right in heart of one of the pioneering areas of tourism development in the region. We are 1,5 km. away from Villanueva de la Vera, which is full of
historical monuments.
This adds to a tourism of quality, of visitors who are interested in respecting the surrounding environment, nature lovers, observers of the variables that make this area a place of relaxation and an encounter with traditional ways of life in a mountain setting.
The views over the Tietar Valley and Southern slopes of Gredos are absolutely breathtaking. The Vera region, because of its scenery and climate, is a place where the possibilities for leisure and visiting nature have become a way of life.

At km. 148 of the N-V (Extremadura Motorway) turn off towards Madrigal de la Vera
In Madrigal, turn left towards Plasencia Jarandilla
Carry on along this road for 7 km. and go past a petrol station on your right, 1,2 km. after this, and before you cross a bridge, you will see a sign for El Calambuco on the right, go down this road, under a stone arch, as far as a square with a fountain, turn right here and 100 m. further on you will see El Calambuco
From the South - Seville-Badajoz follow the N-V motorway
When you get to km. 186 take the turning for Navalmoral de la Mata
You will come to a set of traffic lights and on the right there is a petrol station. Turn left here towards Talayuela-Jarandilla
Go past Talayuela then you come to a steep hill and with a lot of bends
Once you get to the top there is a turn off on the right which is signposted to Robledillo de la Vera, if you miss this sign the next one will be Losar de la Vera on the right
Go past Robledillo and carry on until you get to a STOP sign
Turn right towards Madrigal Arenas de San Pedro, until you reach Valverde de la Vera, you will find a large tower castle
When you get to Villanueva, go through the village and go on for about 1 km.. where you will see a small bar kiosk on the right and directly after it a bridge over the gorge
Straight after that on the left you will find a sign for the EL CALAMBUCO apartments
Take the road going up, under an arch and up to a square with a fountain in the middle
On the left you will see another sign for EL CALAMBUCO, which points to the right. We are 100 m. down there on the right
Me encantó el alojamiento. Me sorprendió favorablemente la casa. El jardín excelente. Iba con mis hijas y lo pasaron fenomenal en la piscina. Sólo eché de menos algo más de espacio para corretear los niños, pero no se puede tener todo... La zona es muy bonita. Si tengo ocasión repetiré unos días para descansar.

Si quieres disfrutar de un sitio tranquilo, acogedor, en un entorno precioso, si vas con niños no lo dudes se lo pasaran estupendo, sobre todo para ellos la piscina imprescindible; Las zonas verdes muy cuidadas; Mas que apartamentos a los peques lo que les gustaba es que son casitas pequeñas individuales; El trato de los dueños maravilloso, si podemos volveremos.

es un sitio ideal para el descanso mientranas que los niños juegan en la piscina
y alrededores. fuimos con unos amigos que
habian ido otras dos veces.os lo recomendamos. un beso para carmen y manolo, y sus hijos. ya nos veremos.

Valorar este lugar se hace dificil pues no hay palabras.
Mucha tranquilidad, mis hijos se lo pasaron de película y de mi mujer y yo pues ni hablamos.
El lugar es espectacular, toda la comarca de la vera lo es, naturaleza pura.
Y los dueños son increibles, un trato y amabilidad inmejorable chapó para ellos y saludos desde san fernando (cadiz)
Abbiamo alloggiato dieci giorni in agosto (con due bimbi piccoli) ed è stata un´esperienza stupenda.
Gli alloggi non sono molto grandi ma funzionali e puliti, la piscina ed il prato degni di un resort, i proprietari amabili e carini, la zona (la valle de la Vera) incantevole!
Torneremo.
