- One child under 11 will pay only a 50 % of the adult`s rate. The second child under 11 will be free.

The Pomar resort is a traditional Cantabria construction. It is a tower from the XVII century. The tower keeps inside the wall a long historical tardition.. Upon a time, it was a novels place. And before, it was a lodging, cross by the Royal Road between Oviedo and Santillana del Mar. The tower was place to rest for novels and lords.. Here they changed horses before arriving to the novel Village of Santillana del Mar.
The Hosteria El Pomar, with a very characteristic Cantabrian style, has 18 bedrooms with bathrooms. The decorations combines traditional material like: oak, chesnut and stone.
We can feel the traditional smeels all over the stone stairwells, the wooden hallways and in the sunny bedrooms. The resort has a new buildings, where the newest installations and tradition are combined.

The Pomar Hotel is surrended of beautiful forest and fields.. It is located in Novales, a beautiful a peaceful town. Novales belongs to Alfoz de Llobredo`s county.
The Hotel follows the typical cantabrian style, allowing the visitor to enjoy the sound of the birds and the mountains.
Novales is in the middle of the valley. The valleys microclimate`s protects the area from strong temperatures and weather changes.. The Pomar faces south.. For these reason, the sunrays are shining all day long.
The Pomar has a beautiful back yard and garden. Full of lemon trees. Novales is known for the numerous trees species in the aerea.

We stayed at the ´Hosteria El Pomar´ for a week in the first of July.
Two adults and a 14 year old daughter.
The Hotel is indeed very well situated, nice environment with a lot of nice an interesting places in the neighborhood. (if you´re motorized).
We found the room too tiny for the three of us (even for two persons there wouldn´t be much space left)

We stayed in El Pomar for one week, which was a very pleasant stay. The beautiful beaches of Comillas and El Oyambre are a short drive away.. The hosteria is very clean and we had a nice room with balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and the pool.. The guests are mainly Spanish and with a little Spanish and a dictionary you can also communicate easily with the friendly hotel staff.. Martin from the owners family is also fluent in English and was of great help translating the evening menu in the

Hemos pasado unos días en El Pomar y hemos quedado contentos, nos hemos sentido como en casa. Buena limpieza (no era perfecta, pero bueno, como en casa), abundante y buena comida, trato alegre y familiar, habitación sencilla y con buena cama, ruidos de los vecinos (como en casa) ... en fin, muy bien. Nuestras felicitaciones a los dueños por contar con esos trabajadores y nuestro agradecimiento a todos por su amabilidad y simpatía.

No quisiera ser repetitiva,pero la verdad que estuvimos muy a gusto el poco tiempo que pasabamos alli,ya que estuvimos conociendo parte de Cantabria,dar nuestros saludos a Ester,una chica encantadora y muy servicial al igual que a Victoria,fueron las dos personas con quien mas trato tuvimos,un sitio para recomendar,un saludo de Marisa y Orlando,Valencia.

Hace pocos dias estuvimos alojados mi mujer, mi hija y yo en régimen de alojamiento, desayuno y cena. Fuimos recomenadados por unos amigos. Nuestras prespectivas han sido superadas por la realidad: entorno idílico, buena situación, pueblo entrañable, buen servicio, limpieza, comida excelente y calidad humana por parte del personal.
