In Conesa, only 10 kilometres from Sta. Coloma de Queralt, is El Clos. Conesa is a historical town of great medieval beauty that can be seen in its Gothic-Roman church, its walled enclosure, its streets, squares and porticos full of charm.
The rural lodgings El Clos are 3 apartments of 6, 4 and 3 places; they are restored and decorated in the same typical style of the whole town. All of them are totally furnished and equipped with kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, heating, telephone, television set and terrace from where you will contemplate wonderful landscapes of the crops. We have also a courtyard with garden, barbecue and wood fireplace.
The public swimming pool and sports facilities are 50 metres far from the house.
In our lodgings you will feel the warm and friendly atmosphere that is wished in a good holiday in any season of the year. You can see more photos in our web.

Interesting Places
Conesa is an ancient medieval town: Old! "A Conesa la vellesa" (a saying in catalan: "In Conesa, old things") However, there are those who use this saying in a different way:
"De Conesa, la bellesa" ("In Conesa, beautiful things") according to the Romance by M.Milà i Fontanals (1908)
Monuments in the Town:
La Creu de Terme (cross), 14th century; it is 8 metres high and is made of sculpted stone in just one piece. It is crowned with a pineapple where the shields of Santes Creus and Catalonia are
Walled enclosure: Sant Antoni and Santa Maria´s porticos (14th century)
Parish church (12th century): in 1.335, possibly on the 17 November, Santa Victoria´s Day, the oldest patron saint of this town, the construction of a new church, in a rural Gothic of that time, was contracted
Casa delmera de Santes Creus
(14th century):
inside it, you can see the shield of the abbot Jeroni Contijoch and the remains of the Sant Antoni´s Chapel. In 1.285, Conesa became a condominium of Santes Creus. It is a fine building with porticos and front of sculpted stone
Bakery of the town
Bell tower (14th century): in 1.339, the construction of the tower bell, of neoromanesque style, was contracted; it is 18 "canas" (1 cana = 33 inches) high
Sant Pere de Savella: at the top of a mountain from where the Fonoll Valley can be seen; it smells like anise. The place seems to have a distant origin as the Roman people called it "Ipsa Vetula", which means: "this old one"
Sant Pere´s church was declared as a listed building in 1.977. It is a Romanesque building of the end of the 12th century. Inside, there is a painted-in-several-colours Gothic image, of the Saint (14th century); it is a full size one and of remarkable artistic perfection
Partida de les Comes: some kilometres from Conesa, there are tombs with its graves of the Neolithic times. Potteries and medieval tombs have also been found
