Why not join us for dinner at the house, all dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and cooked by a top vegetarian chef. Vegetarian cookery courses also available; enjoy creating (and eating) many varied dishes suitable for lots of different occasions-lunch (meze style), dinner menus, special celebration menus, learn cookery techniques and presentation skills. Whether you come to relax or to cook you can rest assured the experience will be enjoyable and the food delightful.
Vegetarian cookery courses available(as explained earlier); whether you are a beginner who wants to know the basics, a gourmet wanting a professional approach or simply a food lover we have the right course for you. Learn to create many different vegetarian dishes with top vegetarian chef David Tomlinson, former owner of Tomlins Restaurant in Cardiff, voted ´best cooking in the area´ by Hardens and Time Out. Other activities include cycling, table tennis and boules. We have some bikes available here but you can hire bikes from the tourist office in Surgeres. There are swimming pools at Surgeres and Aigrefeuille (10 km) and further afield at La Rochelle, Chatelaillon and St.. Jean d´Angely (30 km)
Interesting Places
The nearest town is at Surgeres a 7 minute drive.. La Rochelle with its stunning marina and quayside cafes and restaurants is 30 minutes drive away. The historic town of Saintes with its Roman amphitheatre is a 45 minute drive.. The beautiful Ile de Oleron and Ile de Re, with their miles of sandy beaches and sleepy villages are both close by.. Royan, Rochefort and Cognac, all busy with lots to see and do are all within an hour´s drive.
The nearest airport is at la Rochelle about half an hours drive. There are flights to La Rochelle from Stanstead and Dublin (ryanair), Bristol and Gatwick (Easyjet) and from Manchester, Birmingham and Southampton (Flybe).. There are other airports within 2 hours drive at Bordeaux, Nantes, Poitiers and Limoges.
The nearest Channel port is at St. Malo about 3.5 hours away.

Y sommes allés pour un week end. David et Loraine sont extremement accommodants et accueillants. Lieu tres calme, reposant et appartement tres joli.
A seulement 25mn de La Rochelle.
Nous y retournerons avec plaisir et essayerons le repas du soir végétarien la prochaine fois!
