The Ariege is the perfect area for a whole host of activities, from Skiing and all winter sports.
In the summer rambling in the hills, cycling or a range of watersports (of course you could just visit one of the local lakes and just relax in the sun).
The Ariege can cater for anyone!

Close to our Chambre d´hote is the intermittant spring, Fontaine de Fontestorbes, and also the Gorges de la Frau.
10km away is the Cathar Chateau of Montsegur.
Slightly furthe afield are numerous other Cathar Chateau

	We spent a wonderful three nights here in mid-July. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to get a real taste of rural France. The room was spacious and very clean with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. Our hosts Andy and Caroline were extremely welcoming and full of knowledge about the local area. We would thoroughly recommend La Tour Cathare to anyone looking for a skiing, walking or cycling break, or just wanting to get away from it all.
