Sant Joan de Binissaida is a rustic farmland in Minorca, locally known as a "lloc", which was the ancient Binissaida Archery, in the Es Castell district. This land was already mentioned in the first documents written by Jaime II shortly after the Catalans conquered Minorca in 1287.
Today, Sant Joan is an up-and-running agricultural tourism farm, with twelve hectares, half of which have been reforested with pine trees and wild olives and the other half is used for the necessary crops to feed the autochthonous flocks of sheep that graze peacefully around the farm, creating a natural landscape of great beauty. All this is what makes Sant Joan de Binissaida a top quality rural hotel.
The Manor house, which dates back to the middle of the 18th century, has undergone many transformations throughout the years. Today, while preserving its traditional character, it has introduced all the essential features to offer a place with all the comforts and services, turning it into a very attractive accommodation where you can enjoy a few days of relaxation in a quiet atmosphere, with fresh air and surrounded by nature.. It is set in a beautiful rural area called Binissaida, in the municipality of Es Castell.

The Sant Joan de Binissaida farmland is situated on the eastern side of the Island of Minorca, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. More specifically it is in the area known as Binissaida, between the villages of Es Castell and Sant Lluís, very close to Mahón, the capital of Minorca. The island can be reached by plane (Iberia, Spanair, Air Europa, etc.) or by boat (Trasmediterránea, Balearia, etc.)
From the airport: When you get to the airport, take the road towards Mahón. Follow the by-pass towards Es Castell. Without stopping in this municipality, carry on towards Sant Lluís. The junction with the entrance to the land is situated at kilometre 2.8 along the Es Castell-Sant Lluís road. Take this minor road which is signposted with the name "Binissaida" and, exactly one kilometre further on, on the left-hand side, you will find the entrance to San Joan de Binissaida.. Next to the name of the farmland is the number 108.
From the port of Mahón: When you get to the Port of Mahón by boat, take the Muelle de Levante dock which goes round towards the village of Es Castell. Without stopping in this village, follow the road towards Sant Lluís.
