El Pajar de la Casa de la Virgen is divided up into 2 floors.
On the ground floor we find the kitchen-dining room, and the lounge and WC:
-The kitchen-dining room is equipped with all the necessary utensils: hob, fridge-freezer, electric oven, microwave, toaster, electric coffee machine, electric juicer and washing machine.
- The lounge with its log stove, hi-fi, DVD player, board games, books in several languages, films in DVD format.
Upstairs there are two rooms and a bathroom:
- One of the rooms has a double 150 cm bed and the other has twin 90 cm beds, both with parquet floors and gabled ceilings.
- A bathroom with a shower, towel heater and hairdryer.
The whole house comes with central heating .

Finca Casa de la Virgen, covers a total surface area of 17,000 m2 and is situated in the Barranco de la Virgen which stretches from the centre of the Island of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) as far as the northern coast, in the municipality of Valleseco, in the Doramas Country Park. Given its rural location, it is in a truly privileged place for those keen on nature and hiking.
Special mention must be given to the flora that the visitor will find in the area, which stands out for its extensive variety and the amount of endemic qualities that are present, where you can find chestnut trees, oak trees, as well as the autochthonous species of the Canary Islands pine trees, among which two unique examples may be highlighted for their height and age, one of which is locally known as de “El Pino de la Virgen”.
The Rural House El Pajar de la Casa de La Virgen is a building which dates back to the end of the 19th century. After its restoration, two bedrooms were built with all the necessary comforts.
Activities
The main activities are relaxation, observing nature and hiking. The land is situated in a privileged spot, crossed by an ancient route, along which goods were once transported from the neighbouring town of Moya to the village of Teror and just opposite the Vueltas de Acero Route, an ancient cobbled path which was used to transport timber from Montaña de Doramas, used in the 16th century in the sugar factories of Firgas and Arucas.
From October to June, the Valleseco Town Hall, organises a monthly hike which each month covers a different route within the municipality. For further details, we suggest that you contact the Tourist Information Office in the Town Hall.

Un lugar fabuloso para repetir, sin ninguna duda. Comer debajo de ese maravilloso castaño es una experiencia que no hemos vivido en ninguna otra parte. El entorno es digno de disfrutar en cualquier época del año. Enhorabuena a los Propietarios, se nota el trabajo bien hecho y el cuidado al detalle en cada uno de los rincones. ¡Ojala cundiera este ejemplo!.
Una experiencia aconsejable. Entre sus atractivos destacamos el entorno natural del Barranco de la Virgen, con sus senderos y sus vistas, y la propia finca con sus rincones agradables: a pesar de haber acertado con las fechas más calurosas del año, debajo del castañero se estaba de maravilla, incluso a mediodía.

Como somos usuarios de este tipo de alojamiento, agradecemos conocer la opinión de los que pasan antes. Quizás por eso nos animamos a dejar la nuestra sobre esta maravillosa finca. En comparación con otras, la rehabilitación de la casa, el mobiliario y decoración, la dotación de la cocina y calidez de las habitaciones son factores que sobresalen.

Lo que queríamos era pasar un fin de semana lo más desconectado del mundo urbano y de los excesos de la ciudad. Pues creo que no existe otro lugar más idóneo, con tantas facilidades y con una atención por parte de sus propietarios, que consiguen con pocos detalles que te sientas como en tu propia casa.
Fantásticas vistas, preciosos caminos reales para pasear, una flora y fauna maravillosa para poder disfrutar de su colorido y olor.

Una casita en medio de un barranco, rodeado por vegetación salvaje y con unas vistas preciosas.
La casita esta cuidada al detalle no falta de nada y es increíblemente acogedora, te costara mucho dejarla.
Para rematar, los dueños son muy amables y atentos.
Un lugar para repetir sin duda; levantarse viendo el barranco y escuchando los pavos reales no tiene precio.
