The owner´s comments
Sitio de Juan Bello, part of Villaverde, in the municipality of Oliva, is home to the first rural hotel in the north of Fuerteventura, and the second on the island. This is an old “Majorera” farmhouse which once belonged to the Calero Rugama family, and whose construction in volcanic stone and wood dates back to the beginning of the 19th century.
MAHOH is the most ancient name known on the island of Fuerteventura, a word that in the local language of guanche means "My land, my country", but there is also another sentimental reason for having adopted this name: for more than 25 years, it has been the name of an ecology group which has strongly defended the natural preservation of the island, whose president is Tinín Martínez, and together with his wife Zaragoza Estévez, are the current owners of the Sitio de Juan Bello.

Of a booked two week stay we only spent six nights. The pool was unavailable, the gardens were in an appalling state, barren with little of no planting, empty paint tins and building materials, broken glass from a damaged pool side structure, nails and broken tiles in the pool area and gas canisters left out in sun.
The sun terrace was devoid of any seating but being used to dump an old and damaged pool table on.
There were no services between 16:00 and 20:00 as the hotel closed, no tea coffee

Nuevamente, muchas gracias.
