In the town of Arona, to the south of Tenerife, in a magical spot at an altitude of 600 metres, there are five independent houses which are surrounded by gardens, indigenous plants, cactus, vineyards and fruit trees. In the main house, a painter lives, paints and exhibits his pictures. His name is Carlo Forte. That is the reason why the property is called "la Casa del Pintor" (the painter's house).. This calm place, which is ideal for some unforgettable holidays, is located fifteen minutes far from Las Americas beach and the Teide National Park.. We also offer you the possibility of learning, individually or in groups, the intuitive painting, chromo puncture, Breathing Therapy, Holistic Massage.
In the yellow small house: there are one double bed, kitchen and bathroom. Outside, a lovely small temple, which is covered by several creepers with white flowers, is in the middle of a garden with some papaya, mango and palm trees The courtyard house: two bedrooms and each one of them has two beds, bathroom and kitchen. In the courtyard, an old oven, a
dornajo (sort of box where to knead the dough) and a bernegal (a cup) are the proofs of past times. A pink bougainvillaea, in its pergola, gives us a pleasant shade on the hot summer days. The dragon tree house: a double bed, kitchen, bathroom and a romantic fireplace. It is decorated with typical furniture and refined touches. Outside, there are some abundant indigenous plants, fruit trees and a lovely grapevine. The small stone house: a room with two beds and external bathroom. Old building which was restored with a wood ceiling and tiles. A leafy grapevine with black and white grapes embellishes its walls. They are also surrounded by an olive and lemon tree, a rosebush and an hibiscus.
In the property where these rural houses are located, there is a peculiar building which is made of stone and wood where some individual or group therapeutic sessions take place. You can paint and be given some private sessions of intuitive painting. The aim of these sessions is not teaching some methods but helping people to discover their creativity and from there, play, enjoy the colours and amaze themselves.. Colours on any kind of cloth, which are used to express oneself, might have an important therapeutic effect. In this rural house, where everything is in colour, Peter Mandel's chromo puncture is practised as a curative method and to recover one's balance. You may also be given some private sessions of Breathing Therapy, Holistic Massage, Reflexology and Metamorphic Massage.

The direct contact with nature is, in this rural house, the best prologue for any trip Trekking and baths in the clean waters of the Atlantic Ocean are part of our daily customs There is the possibility of horse riding, mountain bike and visit the dolphins and whales in the Ocean. we spent nine magical nights in ´la casa del drago´, looking forward to getting back each evening after our explorations of the island. Carlo and Ingrid gave us more than a warm welcome, good company at the same time as the run of their beautiful garden. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend a treat in ´La Casa del Pintor´.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Pintor. It is such a serene place to be. Carlo and Ingrid are very warm and they make you feel at home completely. It is very relaxed to stay at the casa or you can make beautiful walks, enjoy the beach or go and see the dolphins! Our little daughter (1,5 years) also enjoyed this holiday very much!

There may after all be a God, and he/she or it employs Carlo and Ingrid to tend this garden of Eden, and smile upon the weary travellers who pass through.. Suitable for Devils and Angels of any denomination, beware these beautiful people, this beautiful place, will not only change your opinion of Tenerife forever, but possibly change your life direction too. Go, and be yourself.

I have now stayed at Carlo and Ingrid´s ´Casa del Pintor´ on two occasions and have been very impressed. It is a very comfortable and tranquil setting and Arona is a lovely location for a rural retreat. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished and Carlo´s art is well deployed throughout the villas.
