The house is located in a very small village settlement ( municipality of Guía de Isora) named Chirche which has a remarkable rural character. Here the house have a prevailing traditional style, being most of them built along the 19 th century though some of them date from 18th century as well.
Chirche is 900 meters above the sea level and due to its geographical seat enjoys of unbeatable views and sunsets. From Chirche you can contemplate the west side of the island, from the shore up to the National Park Las Cañadas del Teide and its vulcan Pico Viejo, viewing also the Tágara gorge and the Tágara woods, one of the oldest pinewood of the island which has been declared Nature Reserve. Futhermore you can contemplate the islands La Gomera, La Palma and part of the Hierro.
Starting from here and through many footpaths and former trading tracks, you can get to know the natural enviroment dotted with many examples of ethnographic heritage like tile ovens, tar ovens, treshing floors, etc. that say much about the village people.
If you want to use the car, Chirche is only 15 minutes away from Las Cañadas del Teide and the coast and thirty minutes away from the international south-airport Reina Sofía.
The House has been recently estored and though it has gone through different constructive periods caused by the former economical needs, it dates from the xix century.
The house has three sleeping rooms ( 1 double, 2 single), a living room, a full equipped kitchen, a bathroom and two courtyards, one in the centre of the house and surrounded by a wooden corridor. The furniture has been kept according to the characteristics of the house, the place and the time it was inhabited.
Furthermore the following equipment is offered: washing machine, spin-drier, chimney, heating in all the rooms, tv, etc.
