This is a typically Gomeran style house which has been renovated using stone, wood and tiles. The interior has exquisite decoration and the location is absolute tranquillity.. Access a climbing a stairway 75 metres from the street. Once the stepped path of about 75 m. has been climbed which leads to the house, you find yourself in a wonderful place in this area of Vallehermoso.
The entrance to the house is via a large terrace, from which there are marvellous views. Once inside, you enter straight into the living room with excellent views from the large windows which form most of the wall. The kitchen and dining area are also in this space, divided from the living room by a wooden half partition..
The bedroom has rustic furniture and a large hand-crafted wooden bed. The excellent taste in décor continues in the bathroom, where you can enjoy a relaxing bath with hidro-massage.. The house has awooden-beamed roof and the floors combine wood with rustic-style tiles.

Farming is the main occupation of the local people and this is reflected in the surrounding landscape of farming terraces. The house is surrounded by numerous palm trees beautiful in themselves and appreciated by everyone for the delicious palm honey that they produce..
There is easy access to the Reservoir Encantadora, situated only 2 kilometres away and there are many excellent walking paths which lead to the Garajonay National Park. These walking paths are outstanding and were the traditional means of travelling from one part of the island to another.

We stayed in Risco Padrón for one week and it is a wonderfull house with a beautifull terrasse. If you are looking for a quiete place, this house is perfect. Everything is in good condition. In winthertime bring worm close for nights - it gets very cold! But there is a radiator in the house. I would recomend to rent a car if you choose to stay in Los Chapines cause it is a long walk to Vallehermoso if you forget to buy something in the city. But - car or no car - we had a wonderfull stay.
