Situated on the island of El Hierro, the Casa Rural Los Arcos, is the result of the restoration work carried out on the adjoining stables to the main house, paying special attention to every detail to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable stay.
These stables, built at the end of the 19th century, are listed buildings of ethnographical interest because of their architecture: a two-storey elevation, built totally with reddish stonework, one metre thick walls, creating two large arches from which the house gets its name; these walls control the temperature of the house, making it cool in summer and warm in winter.
In the village of Mocanal, a strategic point of departure for excursions throughout the island, 5 minutes from Valverde, 15 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from the port of Estaca, 10 minutes from Pozo de las Calcosas (a lovely place for swimming and fishing), 10 minutes from the Peña viewpoint, 20 minutes from the Golfo Valley.

Take the road that leaves from the airport or the Port towards Valverde until you get to the petrol station
We will be waiting for you there to take you to the Los Arcos rural house, to show you round and give you the keys.
When you get to Mocanal, go into the village along the road on the right that is signposted to Pozo de las Calcosas
Carry on along this road for about 500 m, going over a bridge and then turn right onto the Montaña Aguarijo street
At the end of this street, you will find Los Arcos at Nº 8

You can reach the island of El Hierro by plane and by boat:
- By plane : 3 flights a day to Tenerife (Tenerife Norte airport), 2 to Gran Canaria and 2 weekly flights to La Palma
- By boat : 2 daily connections with the port of Los Cristianos (southern Tenerife) using the company Fred Olsen (1.5 hour crossing) and Líneas Armas (3.5 hour crossing)
Visitors from abroad are advised to take the combined plane-boat journey, and here the reference airport is Tenerife Sur or Reina Sofía, turning part of your journey into an unforgettable mini cruise on the Atlantic Ocean.

Estupenda casa, grande, con una decoración preciosa, grandes terrazas para jugar los niños, bien situada, cerca de todo, pero en un lugar tranquilo. En fín, un sitio ideal para el descanso, en una Isla de por si maravillosa.
Magnifica casa y magnifico trato. Recomendamos esta casa porque es una de las mejores casas rurales en las que hemos estado: buena situación, magnifica decoración y equipamiento completo, amplia. Los niños disfrutaron muchisimo en los espacios abiertos que presenta.

Viajamos a La Isla de El Hierro y nos alojamos en La Casa Rural Los Arcos. Muy recomendable: bien situada, acceso asfaltado, totalmente equipada, decoración acorde con la casa. Recordaremos con añoranza las veladas en la terraza de la casa y la tranquilidad del entorno. Hemos recargado pilas y prometemos volver.
