The Mas de Bernis farmhouse is located in splendid surroundings between rice fields and orange groves.
The Bernis farmhouse was known as Colonia Agrícola San José when it was constructed in 1888. It had all the intensity of the great agricultural estates of the 19th century. Looking at the building, one can guess the splendour of one of the leading families in the development of the delta.
It was restored in the year 2000 for use as a house for rural tourism.
It currently has six independent apartments, each equipped with heating, kitchen, bathroom, living-room and fully furnished bedrooms.
The large picture windows, monumental portals and generous interior spaces take into account the living conditions of the house and its surroundings in each and every way.
Outside, a Bougainvillea, climbing vine and Jasmine entwined in a trellis await you, ready to give you shade when the sun is beating down. The large garden full of mandarin orange trees and bordered by century-old palm trees invite you to enjoy the magnificent landscape for a long while..

CASA DELS MASOVERS (The Tenant Farmer´s House)
The porch This detached house with a ground floor and apartment has an intimate sunny terrace and a wide porch at the foot of a trail that gives an invitation to spend time enjoying both the shade and the countryside.
This house is equipped with two totally furnished double rooms, a toilet with shower, a kitchen and a pleasant living-room and dining room with a fireplace and TV. The rooms all have heating.
Capacity: for 4 to 6 people.
LA CASA D´ESTIU (The Summer House)
Door to the main courtyard An interesting apartment with open spaces on two levels and splendid views.
From the main patio, we are given access to the kitchen/dining room by going through a cozy interior patio. An open stairway leads us to the upstairs where there is a double room, a living-room and the bath.
It is equipped with heating, a woodstove and TV.
Capacity: 2 people.
LA CASA GRAN (The Main House)
Door of the living/dining room It is a spacious and comfortable apartment located in the noble part of the farmhouse.
It is on one floor and we gain access to it through the main door of the house. The original mosaic, the structure of the kitchen and the large windows with their corresponding wrought iron work have been conserved.. It has two fireplaces, one in the living/dining room and the other in the bedroom.
There is a kitchen and spacious bath, a TV and heating.
LA SENYORETA (The "Miss")
Main door of the house A complete apartment situated on the first floor of the main house.
You´ll enjoy a privileged view of the rice fields and palm tress as well as the orange groves. The unfolding of the lives of the different birds that visit the delta can be observed from the living/dining room.
There are two fully furnished double rooms available, a bath with shower, an open kitchen, TV and heating.
Capacity: 4 people.
EL SILO (The Silo)
Main door of the house Large apartment situated on the first floor of the main house.
This gives it a magnificent view of the surrounding fields and the birds that visit them.
The apartment has a totally furnished double bedroom, bath with shower, an open kitchen, living/dining room, TV and heating.
Capacity: for 2 to 4 people.
EL SEQUER (The Dryer)
Main door An independent cozy apartment, with lots of light, situated on one floor at the back of the patio. It is here that perhaps one can especially enjoy this peaceful and partially shaded spot.
There are two totally furnished double bedrooms, a bath with shower, kitchen, living/dining room, TV, wood stove and heating.

Buscabamos un alojamiento tipo apartamento para un fin de semana. En casa somos 5 (tres niños pequeños de 1, 3 i 5 años)
Pasamos poco tiempo en la casa. Esta equipada con lo básico pero suficiente. Lo único que encontramos en falta era que los armarios de la cocina no tuvieran puertas. Contávamos que hubiera una lavadora pero tampoco habia. La cuna de viaje la tuvimos que llevar nosotros.
En general, y teniendo en cuenta calidad-precio, és aceptable.

Mas de Bernis es troba en un entorn privilegiat, situat als peus del Delta de l´Ebre, a una zona envoltada de conreus i camps d´arrós, molt tranquil.la i agradable. Nosaltres vam estar a ´La Casa Gran´: àmplia, confortable i amb decoració peculiar. A la cuina li faltaven alguns estris i els grans finestrals no tancaven bé, peró en general vam estar cómodes. Hem passat una setmana amb els dos nanos petits a finals de setembre, just a l´epoca de la recollida de l´arròs. La finca és sensacional, el nostre apartament bastant comfortable, prou ben equipat, i sobretot destaquem la serenor que proporciona el pati i el jardí de mandariners, a un km de la N-340 però alhora allunyats de la "civilització".
