Casa Argentera is an old historical building which we have restored and divided into 3 separate apartments, each with its own entrance and access to common areas. The three apartments are joined by a staircase inside, which allows the house to be rented as a single unit, so that you can enjoy the big hall in the basement.
The common areas are a nice garden with a small swimming pool, relaxing hammocks, two terraces; one in the sun and one in the shade of the big linden tree. There are slides and a swing for the young ones.
The second floor apartment, which we also call the penthouse, has two double bedrooms, one with a private bathroom, a separate bathroom with a bath and a long table with space for nursing babies, a large combined dining room and living room with a fireplace, a kitchen with all modern facilities to provide for your comfort and convenience and with a relaxing corner. From the kitchen there is access to a private outdoor terrace and stairs to the garden.
The first floor apartment has two double bedrooms, one with a private bathroom, a single room, a bathroom, a living room with a fireplace and access to the balcony which has a stunning view of the village and the castle, a kitchen with space for dining and access to the garden. In all the rooms the original tiled floors has been conserved and each room has its own pattern.
The ground floor has 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom and a large dining or meeting room with space for 15 persons, a masonry stove and an open kitchen with access to a wine cellar and the garden. One of the bedrooms is oriental inspired and closes with an original wooden sliding door, beautifully carved from Indonesia.
Beside discovering the beautiful scenery in the mountains hiding Argentera, the area holds great diversity of activities, most of these are within half an hours drive.
In Salou you find the amusement Parque Port Aventura, and in Miami beautiful beaches and attractive golf areas.
Cambrils holds posibilities for all kind of water sports, but is most famous for its nice fishing harbour which extremely good fish restaurants.
Siurana is a famous climbing area and also holds a unique village with history and scenic view from the top of the mountain surrounded by Siurana lake.
Wine area Priorat: the mountains behind the house holds one of the best areas of wine in Spain with several routes and cellars to visit. We can organize visits to cellars, but you can also check Priorat Regional Tourist information office for further information.
Barcelona is situated 120 km north of the village and is an absolut must-see. The city has an impressive modernist route (see rutes Catalunya for more details) dominated by the works of the architect Antonio gaudi and his world famous unfinished temple "Sagrada Familia".. The easiest way is by train from the train station "L´Argentera-Duesaigues" 1,1 km from the house.. It leaves you in the city center of Barcelona in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Reus is 25 minutes away with airport, attractive shops and an interesting modernist route. See route of modernism for further details.
Tarragona, a world heritage city, is about 30 minutes away with the original roma wall protecting the old city and the amphit theatre.
Beside the modernist routes in Reus and Barcelona, there is a cister route in the area which hold three old monesteries in Poblet, Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges.

For bird watchers and nature lovers the natural bird resort Delta del Ebro is about 70 km away with long quiet beaches.
Riudecanyes: the olive oil from the local cooperative in riudecanyes won the National Jaen Prize for being the best olive oil in 2005. Of course you will find a sample of it to taste in the house. By riudecanyes you also find the Pantano, where you can enjoy fishing, canoeing or bird watching at certain periods of the year, or enjoy the nature from the path around the lake from horse or mountainbike. About 15 minutes away you find Montbrio del Camp, which holds the Balneario termes de Montbrio and close by, you find the Sama parc, which is very popular for wedding celebrations, but also good for an hours walk with the children. See also places of interest on the official web site of Baix Camp.

L´Argentera is situated in baix camp, about 120 km south of Barcelona and 15 km from the coastline.
Plane:
- There are airports in Reus or Barcelona. Reus airport is only 35 min. Away by car, and you can check Ryanair for flights. Barcelona is 1 hour 35 minutes away.
- From the airports you can either rent a car or take the train or bus to get to Argentera.
Car:
- Coming from Barcelona, you take the motorway and gets off in Cambrils, south of Salou. Here you take the T-312 direction Montbrio del Camp, here you follow signs to Riudecanyes, Duesaïgues and L´Argentera. It´s about 15 km driving.
- Coming from Reus, you take T-310 direction Riudoms, and you don´t leave the road until you arrive to Montbrio del Camp, here you follow as described before.
- Coming from Falset, you take N-420 direction Reus and halfway (by the mountain "Coll de la Teixeta" you take T-313 direction Duesaïgues and follow signs to L´Argentera.
Train:
- There are 3 daily arrivals from Barcelona to the station "L´Argentera-Duesaïgues". From Barcelona Sants they leave 6.28, 12.59 and 20.30. The arrivals at L´Argentera are 8.12, 14.42 and 22.15. There are 1,1 km from the station to the house.. To check train schedule see RENFE.
Bus:
- There are 2 arrivals and departures on monday and thursday from Reus. Bus leaving Reus 8.45 and 15.15 and bus leaving L´Argentera 9.30 and 16.00. The busstop in L´Argentera is in front of the house, and in reus at plaza de La Oca.

Hemos estado alojados el puente de Sant Joan y creo que tiene una serie de detalles que se deben mejorar dado el precio del alquiler. Eso si la casa es preciosa y se respira mucha calma.
El arenero para los niños está sucio y prácticamente sin arena.
La piscina tiene cuatro hamacas, dos de las cuales muy deterioradas.
La mesa del jardín sucia el primer día.
Las cortinas al jardín son peligrosas, están liadas y los niños pequeños tienden a enredarse.

Probablment és una de les millors cases rurals del tipus allotjament independent on hem estat. A la casa no li manca de res (potser només alguna cortina o estor a les habitacions de la planta superior per evitar la llum del sol al matí) i està decorada amb un gust exquisit. Volvemos encantados de pasar el fin de semana en Casa Argentera. La casa es muy bonita y acogedora, el pueblo tranquilo, ideal para pasar unos días de descanso. Pudimos ir en bici, pasear por el bosque,subir al Castillo, visitar unas bodegas, tomar un exquisito aceite de la zona... Gracias a Ina por sus atenciones,a Albert y la rubita y cariñosa Naya, que hizo muy buenas migas con nuestras niñas.
Hemos ido a muchas casas rurales, y l´argentera es una de las mejores. Estuvimos 3 días en agosto con un bebé de 6 meses, ya la verdad que estuvimos como en casa,
no echamos en falta nada, Ina y Abert se preocuparon de todos los detalles para nosotros y el bebé, Merece la pena ir, la piscina, el jardín, aunque nos tocó lloviendo, está ideal para descansar.
