The owner´s comments
The "Mirlo Blanco" Rural House was built over the ruins of an old country house which dates back to 1767. The accommodation is made up of a chapel, the main building, the old stables, today converted into rooms, an extension used as the stores, larder and laundry room, a dining room with a log fireplace, granary and dovecot.
There are eleven en-suite bathrooms.
The land has a total area of more than 14,000 m2, which will allow you to enjoy the wide open garden areas, ideal for relaxation, as well as a car park, vegetable garden, farm and swimming pool. Its high setting gives it some lovely views of the Arosa Estuary and the Xiabre Mountain.
Activities
The surrounding area of the Mirlo Blanco Rural House is ideal for a wide variety of activities, whether it is through the direct contact with nature or the nearby appropriate and top quality facilities.. Some of the activities that we recommend are as follows:
Golf:
just a few kilometres away from the accommodation, we find one of the best Golf Courses in Galicia and in Spain, the Chan do Fento, on the western slopes of the Castrove Mountain and only 15 km from our installations. It has a total of 53 hectares and is surrounded by pine trees. It is an 18-hole golf course and of medium difficulty. It is also known as the Meis Golf Course
Water sports:
we can offer you the opportunity of renting a boat, with or without a skipper, sailing courses and underwater diving, boat trips along the estuary, trips to the Islands of Ons, Cies, Cortegada, Sálvora, etc. All this is offered with the guarantee of the best professionals in Galicia: The Company Galicia Marine Charter
Visits to wine producers:
The Mirlo Blanco is set in one of the best places for the Rías Bajas wine production: The Salnés, where we can visit a large number of wine producers and their most treasured wine, Albariño. We offer you the ideal route to visit and later, give us your opinion
Cycling:
a good route is not only to be done on foot, but also a good way of travelling is by bike. We offer you the possibility of discovering our best routes in the most comfortable manner, cycle-hiking
Hiking:
The Mirlo Blanco Rural House is surrounded by countryside, forests and mountains, and is therefore, surrounded by many different hiking routes, where nature is presented in all its splendour, especially the astonishing routes of the Xiabre Mountain, perfectly signposted and only 1 km. away. But if what you are looking for are risk sports and adventure, you can also venture into the thick undergrowth of our mountains
