The Hotel is situated in the small and ancient village of Arsèguel, which at the same time is situated on a hill in one of the valleys of the Cadi Mountains Natural Park, set in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees..
The Hotel is a result of the careful restoration work on the 18th Century house, typical of the Arsèguel; it is an example of ancient and modern architecture, strictly preserving the original building, sustainable and integrated into the scenery.
We offer classical Catalan cuisine with modern dishes, based on seasonal and market produce, both natural and fresh. It is a soft, fine and light cuisine, which tries to respect the primary tastes of each type of food.
Arsèguel is situated 2 km away from the N-260 between La Seu d´Urgell and Puigcerdà, 12 km from La Seu d´Urgell, 25 km from Andorra and 40 km from the French border from La Cerdanya (Puigerdà)

We were lucky enough to find the Font del Genil after extensive searches of the internet for accommodation in this area. The hotel is a delightful haven, set between the coast of Northern Spain and the French border.. We felt that the decor had been done to a very high standard, and was also tasteful. We (me and my girlfriend) did a trip around spain during 17 days. And this was absolute the best!!
Marc, (hotelmanager) cooked for us with so much love (worked before in hotels in Brussels and Paris) and explained the maels with so much passion. And after the 5 courses we did not feel thick at all. It was perfect for our stoumaechs.
It is located in a very small mountain-village with some nice hiking possibilities, perfect quiteness, and yet the standard room was nice and clean like it should

El hotel es muy bonito y acogedor, la decoracion impecable, pero el trato un pococo insuficiente, no es normal que vuelvas a un hotel a las 9 y media de la tarde de un sabado y te encuentres todo cerrado y las luces apagadas y ninguna manera de avisar a alguien. Tuvimos que entrar a ciegas.. y no pudimos ni siquiera hechar un rato en la sala de estar, porque no habia luz. Owner’s reply Pido las mil disculpas, ese fin de semana el personal del hotel era nuevo.En referencia a las luces, fue descuido personal, fui a dar de cenar a los cavallos y no pensé en las luces, me estrañó ya que en esa hora normalmente esty en el hotel. La sra. de hacer las habitaciones no sabe, questión de educación, de antes de habrir una habitació tiene que llamar a la puerta. No fui enterado hasta el dia de su opinión. Cuando hoy ya la oferta de alojamiento rural empieza a ser amplia la tendencia futura del cliente pasa por seleccionar cada vez más la calidad del servicio.
