The owner´s comments
A difficult, but exciting, day for Pilar and Juan, both medical professionals, nurse and doctor, was when they decided to make an important change in their lives after a career of 30 years. As keen nature enthusiasts, they decided to leave the Health Service and start to look for the most suitable location in Andalusia to set up their new project: getting a rustic piece of land to build several Rural Tourism Houses. The task was not easy, as the place would need to meet five essential requirements: Nature, Tranquillity, Comfort, History and Multicultural.
They spent nearly two years and finally they found the right place: the Sierra de Aracena. They now justifiably call it: the Serrano Paradise.. The project has been carried out with the professional advice of experts in Rural Architecture, and it is under their supervision that 2 old buildings have been restored and 5 more houses have been built..
Eventhough the houses present a rustic style and decoration, which blends in with the typical house in the Sierra, they have been built with all the present day technological advances: hot water and central heating, (eventhough they all have a fireplace), insulated walls and roofs, and double glazing windows.
The roofs are covered in the old traditional Arabic tiles. Underneath there are fine wooden beams and rafters. The houses have been fully authorized by the Public Administration Authorities and especially by the Huelva Tourism Office with the classification of Basic for one house and Superior for five houses.. The houses are located in an area surrounded by trees with enough space between each one to preserve intimacy and a natural, peaceful environment, essential for a good rest in the country.
To reach the Finca Arroyo la Jara take Almonaster La Real as a reference, this prestigious village in the Northern Sierra of Huelva, situated in the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Nature Reserve (see map to find how to get to Almonaster La Real).
From Almonaster La Real, about 200 metres along the road to Santa Ana and Huelva take a narrow road that has been recently tarmacked on your right. There is a sign that says La Escalada.
About 4.5 Km along this road on the right you will find a sign for "Finca Arroyo La Jara". Go along this small country lane and after about 100 metres you will find a large iron gate which is the entrance to the Rural Houses. You cannot miss it.
I´m from London and I always try to find a quiet and special place for my vacations and Arroyo la jara was defenitely one of the best! The "sierra" of Huelva is extremely beautiful and the houses of Arroyo la Jara part of the environment surrounded by "encinas" and fruit trees. The interior decoration great, comfortable and full of small, and caring details.. And the best of all its owners Juan and Pilar!!! I felt warm and welcomed the whole stay. When you spend time with them and get to meet the

No te facilitan factura.
