Hábitat Troglodita Almagruz (Almagruz Troglodytic Habitat) is an Innovating Tourist Complex which contains a set of human habitats going from Prehistoric establishments to contemporary cave-houses, which are available for rural lodging.
Situated in a very strategic enclave, the complex is located in the bank of the Fardes river, bordered by the archaeological zone of La Cuesta del Negro (zone object of special protection) and the outstanding Purullena Bad-Lands, and has direct access to the A-92 motorway (km 286).
The Cortijo Almagruz is located at the entrance of the Guadix depression, only 48 km from Granada, and at the border of the Bioclimatic Architecture Area of Granada´s Northeast, which is one of the more representative troglodytic areas of the Peninsula. The area extends through all the eastern sector of the province and corresponds to the regions of Guadix, Baza and Huéscar.
The Hábitat Trolodita Almagruz complex has a very particular style, and we like to give a personalized service to our guests, meeting your demands and guaranteeing your well-being with a special treatment of all those details that make us different. La verdad es que este complejo es totalmente diferente a lo que hayáis visto. Las cuevas en la montaña son una pasada y el entorno es impresionante. A very special place. It far exceeded our expectations. Something totally different. Beautifully appointed caves, lacking for nothing. Roaring fires in the evening and sitting by the pool during the day. Your own private museum tour, workshops, bikes, animals and exploring for the kids. Très bel endroit, très bon accueil, merci Manolo de tout le soin apporté au lieu et aux hôtes.. Nous avons visité 4 ou 5 complexes d´hôtels-appart´ de "cuevas" dans la région de Guadix, avant d´arrêter à l´hunanimité notre choix sur celui-là (nous étions 5). nous avons eu un peu peur en arrivant à cause de la proximité de l´autoroute (500 ou 600m), mais en fait, cela ne nous a causé aucune gêne et le calme et la beauté du lieu nous l´ont immédiatement fait oubliée: c´est un endroit merveilleuseme
