La Gamonosa is located in the small town of Santa María de Trassierra which is in the heart of Sierra Morena. It is just 14 kilometres far from Córdoba city.
It is totally surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation (cork oaks, pine trees, holm oaks ...). La Gamonosa is composed by three rural houses which have been restored for your comfort; they are totally equipped and comfortable the whole year.
La Gamonosa is placed in an excellent spot as you find yourself surrounded by a great Mediterranean vegetation and at the same time you may visit, without driving very far, the monuments and most beautiful places of Córdoba city like the Medina Azahara Archaeological Site, 6 kilometres away, the Mosque Cathedral, the hermitages, Sierra de Hornachuelos Nature Reserve, the River Guadiato

In the small village of Santa María de Trassierra, 2 kilometres away, you can visit: Popea's baths, the stream Bejarano, its Gothic-Mudéjar style church Medina Azahara Archaeological Site, 6 kilometres away Córdoba city and its monuments, museums and the Mosque Cathedral, 14 kilometres away The hermitages from where you will contemplate some wonderful panoramic views of this city, 10 kilometres away Hornachuelos Nature Reserve, 35 kilometres away River Guadiato and caves in Valdelasjetas, 9 kilometres away Sierra de los Santos (the saints' mountain range) in Villaviciosa de Córdoba, 35 kilometres away
When you get to Córdobacity, look for Avenida América (avenue) or the AVE (Spanish high-speed train) Station; at the roundabout of the AVE station, go towards the road of Trassierra or Castillo de la Albaida (Albaida's castle); the road is the CP 21 one; about 14 kilometres far from the city, you will get to the small town of Santa María de Trassierra.
Once you get to the small town of Santa María de Trassierra, there are several roads that lead to our lodging; you can take the easiest one: pass the small town of Santa María; about 2 kilometres away and to the left, you will see an entrance where there is a sign saying Alojamiento rural Hacienda La Gamonosa (Rural Estate Property) as well as Asociación de Propietarios El Salado (Owners Association); come in and go straight on; 1,5 kilometre away and to the left, you will see the bullring and our houses.
There is also the roadC.431 towards Palma del Rio, 7 kilometres far from Córdoba city; you have to make a detour to the right towards the Medina Azahara Archaeological Site; you pass Medina Azahara and go towards the road to Santa María de Trassierra; once in the small town, you have to follow the same orders than in the previous paragraph.
What we also do, from time to time, is to meet our customers in the snack bar called La Cabaña in Santa María de Trassierra.

Creo que estubimos en la casa "La Señora". Las fincas donde se ubican las tres casas estan juntas,en medio del monte y rodeado de frondosos arboles. Las fincas, muy cuidadas, al igual que las casas, tanto por fuera como por dentro. Decorada con buen gusto con un toque rural muy agradable. A Antonio (el dueño, joven y muy agradable) no le había dado tiempo a prepararla piscina de esta finca, pero nos ofreció bañarnos en la de la cada de al lado. Es la segunda vez que paso el fin de semana y cada vez que voy me gusta más;en invierno es ideal ya que con el calorcito de la chimenea se está de lujo,ahora sólo me queda visitarla en verano y poder disfrutar de la impresionante piscina que tiene y poder tomar el sol desconectado del ruido de la ciudad.Recomiendo a todo el mundo que la visite sin dudarlo,sobre todo si os gustan los perros;hay 2 preciosos ejemplares y son muy cariñosos con todo el mundo,especialmente si les das algo de comer,yo

Hemos pasado el puente del Pilar en la casa Peñaesparda. Nos ha parecido una casa ideal en todos los aspectos, limpieza, espacio, entorno, atención por parte del dueño, tranquilidad, etc. Además está tan cerca del pueblo de Santa María de Trassierra que también tienes todos los servicios. Lo recomiendo.

Os recomiendo esta casa rural, bien equipada y buen trato con el propietario. Como si estuvieras en tu propio chalet con piscina incluida, aunque al ser octubre no pudieramos utilizarla. Lo único que no nos gustó es que está un poco alejada del pueblo y si en las otras casas no hay nadie, te encuentras un poco sólo por la noche. Pero la valoración global un 4 sobre 5. Un saludo a todos.
Gite trés propre et bien equipé, au calme, loin de la chaleur de cordoba et les nuits sont fraiches! Ideal pour visiter cordoba et ses alentours. La piscine est agréable. Les propriétaires sont discrets.
