Chiclana de la Frontera welcomes its visitors with the ideal climate and location to rest and enjoy. It is situated in the route of wine which is an important part of its gastronomy. It produces "Fino Chiclanero" and "Dulce Moscatel" (kind of sherry) which are unrivalled because of their scent and taste. "Pescaíto frito" (fried fish), shrimp omelettes, "embutidos" (sausages), cakes and pancakes made by the retiring nuns, and country products will delight your palate.
The coasts of Chiclana are washed by the Atlantic. You can visit La Barrosa beach which is really huge. In this beach, the ocean water is calm, clear and cool, and the blue flag is always waving. You can walk along the promenade of La Barrosa beach where you will see a lot of bars, restaurants and other hotel installations which are enjoyed by tourists. Its golf courses are world-famous.
