The Vilar Rural de Cardona follows the structure of a little village. It is a new horizontal building composed by 2 floors and they are around 2 streets and devoted to the 100 rooms of the Vilar Rural.
These rooms are grouped so as to allow flexible and alternative uses according to your necessities.
We have got double rooms, double rooms with double beds, triple rooms, rooms for four people, rooms for disabled people and communicated rooms for families. Some of them have a small garden or terrace and have a great view.
Cosy rooms with all the necessary comforts:

A NEW MODEL OF ACCOMMODATION
Creation of connected areas where the environment and the street have a close link with every room. The traditional hotel structure, block-linear-corridor-room, is avoided.
QUALITY Environment and services: an activity centre is offered as a dynamic way of using the hotel. It has specific purposes according to the different kinds of users: families, conventions, small groups...
The Vilar Rural de Cardona hotel is located on a hill dominating the deep valley of the Cardener, opposite to the urban nucleus and Cardona´s castle. A typical Catalan country house, where farmers used to live, welcomes visitors. There, you can buy local products and it houses a small poultry farm and an activities centre.
Coming to the hotel we find a small square that arranges the different constructions that, under the appearance of a small village, are distributed to every side of the main building in the village and it is where common services are located: reception area, function rooms, restaurant, bar and multipurpose rooms that offer a great view and are fully-equipped to hold business meetings.
The other buildings, distributed into two streets, house the 100 rooms of the Vilar that allow flexible and alternative uses according to the different kinds of customers. The surroundings of the hotel are closely related to the natural surroundings of the area where there is a place to perform different kinds of activities, a small kitchen garden and a pond.. There are two swimming pools, one for adults and another for children.. Its viewpoint offers superb views. On the left, Port del Comte, Cadi mountain range, Bussa mountain range, Pedraforca, Rassos de Peguera and Queralt mountain range; opposite, Cardona´s castle and, on the right, Montserrat.
nosotros fuimos con mi madre y nuestro hijo de 3 años y fue estupendo, lo pasamos en grande y descansamos que era nuestro objetivo. Quiero probar en los otros dos villars del grupo

Hem estat la familia just abans de nadal al Vilar de Cardona i llàstima no haber pogut quedar-nos pel 25 de desembre (hi havia moltes activitats programades). El lloc preciós, tranquil, aire pur, relaxant, el personal super amable i atent en tot.
Recomanable al 100% , segur una segona estada en aquest o en un dels altres Vilars.
Un lugar recomendable para desconectar. Eso sí, casi todo enfocado y habilitado para ir acompañados de niños. A destacar la amabilidad del personal del hotel, que resultó inmejorable, y las habitaciones muy confortables y acogedoras. La comida excelente. Estoy deseando volverme a escapar aunque solo se trate de un par de días. Realmente, merece la pena.

Estuvimos una semana en Agosto con nuestras dos hijas de 8 y de 4. La libertad de movimientos que tienen en el hotel es incomparable. Las habitaciones límpias y muy cómodas, la comida suprema y bien pensada para niños. El personal muy amable. Eso sí todo en Catalá (normal, es el idioma que se habla en Catalunya). Volvimos toda la familia con acento payés. Molt bé!!
