4 kms from Biar and less than 25 minutes´ drive from the beaches of the Costa Blanca, the hotel nestles among the pine trees of a 6,000 m2 plot of land in foothills of the Fontanella Mountains.
Mas Fontanelles is a 230-year-old farmhouse that was restored, refurbished and turned into a hotel in 2001.
The restoration project has maintained the building´s original character, in particular its primitive structure of wooden beams, while adding all the comforts and amenities of a modern hotel.
Mas Fontanelles makes the perfect base from which to explore this mountain area, home to large pine forests with a network of paths that one can follow on foot, by bike or on horseback, and which extends to the Alicante foothills of Aitana, Mariola and Carrasqueña (the Font Roja natural park).

This small rural hotel was just what we were looking for after the mad rush of the city and fun (but exhausting) travelling around.. The setting is wonderful, we had a beautiful view from our window as well as the peace and quiet we were looking for.. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the food an imaginative combination of Italian and local cuisine and we were made to feel completely at home.. Definitely recommend it!

Mi marido y yo hemos estado del día 18 al 22 de Junio. La experiencia ha sido maravillosa, desde la amabilidad y cuidado de sus propietarios, sus instalaciones, ese silencio que no tiene precio y que allí reinaba, el canto de los pájaros y lo que se agradecía la piscina, la tumbona y el sol con un buen libro... Hemos estado 2 dias que han sido muy tranquilos. Ya conociamos el entorno, y lo elegimos por lo que nos gusta el mismo. El hotel en si, está muy bien, aunque encontramos un fallo a nuestro entender, que comentamos con el propietario. Tuvimos la habitación situada en un lugar independiente, y la verdad es que es grande y acogedora pero la cama de matrimonio no es tal, sino 2 camas individuales juntas un poco incómodas para una pareja.. Que bien, que relajados hemos salido. Una casa muy bonita con su espacio correspondiente y todos los servicios incluidos. Ideal para niños además Isabel y Roberto muy amables y sus dos hijos Andrea y Paolo también. Hemos dormido muy bien, el desayuno bueno y la comida casera con postre incluido. Además la casa está rodeada de verde y montañanas con sus pueblos bonitos. Hay mucho que visitar por la zona. Hemos pasado los pocos días que teníamos de vacaciones en este maravilloso paraje, buscabamos tranquilidad y descanso y desde luego que lo hemos encontrado, la hospitalidad de Roberto e Isabel ha sido fabulosa, así como la simpatía de sus hijos Paolo y Andrea que han hecho muy buena amistad con nuestra hija Sara, en cuanto al hotel, "precioso" y la comida "riquísima", cocinan verdaderamente bien.
