Caserío Maribel is an old "Casa de Postas" of the 15th century, which has been restored for the rural tourism and also for its clients´ delight, with oak trees, stones, bricks, furniture and all the owners´ affection, who come directly from that Casa de Pastas´s owners.
On the first floor, we have got the five bedrooms, all of them with complete bathroom, heating, hair-drier and welcome goods. Each one is different and they are painted in several colours. Four bedrooms have a double bed and another one has two single beds. All of them have television set and fridge. On the ground floor, the main entrance is found, which is noble as the whole house, and by the side of it, you can find the lounge with a reading area, table games and
television set. Beside the lounge, we have the rustic dining-room where we wait for you very early in the morning with the breakfast already made. And when dinners are finished, I present my clients with some liquors.
Caserío Maribel has a private garden with miniature golf course, lawn and fruit trees; it is close to a medieval bridge over the river Bayas and surrounded by extensive green areas.
In the Caserío Maribel you can enjoy the peacefulness of the
Kuartango valley, in a village called Aprikano, near the famous Salinas de Añana (salt pan), the Valderejo park, the river Nervión waterfall, the Rioja Alavesa and Vitoria. We draw all these routes and other cultural ones for you. And if what you want is enjoyment and action, you can find them too.
We have got another house in Castillo-Sopeña, a few kilometres from here; it was also built on a historical building: Torre Robredo.
Caserío Maribel has been awarded by the Instituto de la Calidad Turística de España (ICTE) (Spanish Tourist Quality Institute), and it has received the tourist "Q" in gratitude for the quality of its services which have been given.
Inside:
dining room, DVD or video, fireplace, heating, Hi-fi, library, lounge, microwave, rooms with en-suite bathroom, selection of games, television, television in the rooms.
The 16 medieval towns of the Kuartango valley, with its mills, washing places and the remains of the medieval roads
La historia de la Encontrada (the Found Woman´s story)
The train route from Izarra to Orduña
And besides, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, half an hour away; Vitoria, 20 minutes away; and San Sebastián, an hour and half away
