Adahuesca is a small village in the province of Huesca, part of the Somontano de Barbastro district. This village has suffered many of the hardships of emigration, like many others in the area, yet it is kept very much alive thanks to the new business activities that have recently been set up.. These activities, mainly geared towards tourism and agriculture, make the most of the resources offered by this privileged natural setting, at the foot of the Guara Mountain Range.
Activities
Sports The most well-known without a doubt of all possible sports in this area is Canyoning. But it is also the ideal area for mountain bikes or hiking.
Mushrooms . If you visit us in autumn or spring you can combine sport with gastronomy, because this is the ideal place for those keen on mushroom collecting. The area enjoys a great variety of mushrooms, with the majority to be found in the spring and autumn.
A paradise for bird life . Vultures, eagles, the bearded vulture... Over 250 types of birds inhabit the magical areas of the Guara Mountains. The ideal place for those keen on ornithology, or also for those who wish to take up this hobby.
Traditions and folklore . Throughout the year, numerous festivals and traditions take place in Adahuesca and its surrounding area, some of them quite unique and well worth visiting.

Somontano, Alquezar, Barbastro, Sierra de Guara, The Cultural Part of Rio Vero...
The Parque de la Sierra (Mountain Park) and the Guara Canyons. It includes true wonders of nature and is the perfect place for you to practise your adventure sports and hiking.
The Cultural Río Vero Park will show you the remnants that have been preserved in these lands from prehistoric times, in its interpretation centres and the offer of guided tours of the prehistoric paintings.
From Huesca, take the N240, after Angues take the turning for Abiego, Sierra de Guara.
From France, follow the signs for Ainsa, on the road to Colongo and Adahuesca.
If you are coming from Barcelona or eastern Spain ; once you get to the town of Barbastro along the N-240, take the turning for Vero, towards Alquezar. Just after Huerta de Vero there is a turning for Adahuesca.
If you are coming from Madrid, the south or the Cantabrian; around 25 km after Huesca, on the road towards Lleida, there is a turning for Abiego - Alquezar. Carry on along this road for a about 15 minutes until you get to Adahuesca.
