The Urrutea Campsite is located in the village of Garde, in a lovely area of the Navarre Pyrenees, surrounded by hundred year-old walnut trees and forests with pine and beech trees, in an ideal setting to visit the surrounding valleys of Roncal, Salazar, Ansó and Hecho.
The establishment is part of the Birding Club-Club, a recently formed organisation for birdwatching in in Navarre.
Since 2004, the campsite has had 7 new bungalows built, sleeping 4 people in each, in a traditional mountain style, all very comfortable and fully equipped. They are open all year round.. In the summer (July and August), you will be able to enjoy its recreational swimming pools, and in the winter you have central heating in all the rooms.
In the summer of 2007, we opened a new bar to be able to provide our guests with a better service.
A friendly, private and peaceful atmosphere, with a capacity for only 100 people, no on-site traffic, and not suitable for caravans. Set in the heart of nature.
In the village, situated just a few metres from the campsite, you will find a children´s park with wooden benches and a lot of shade in the summer, open-air barbecues, a fronton court, a small shop, a lovely restaurant surrounded by cobbled streets, vegetable gardens, traditional buildings, all carefully looked after.
The Roncal Valley offers the visitor some magnificent natural scenery. You will be pleasantly surprised! Discover the wonderful Belagua Valley and the Larra Nature Reserve, from your vehicle, or following some of the many ancient paths.
The possibility of activities in every season in the year, with organised nature adventures or enjoying the peace and quiet of the surrounding mountains, the warmth of the summer and the snow in winter, the bird life that comes and goes, our rivers and mountains, our festivals, our lovely people, our gastronomy, our villages and valleys, our fauna and flora, and of course our warm welcome.
