La Pousada do Cuco is a typical Galician country house, situated in the Vilar Parish, in a totally rural setting but with an ideal geographical location.
The origins of the house date back to the end of the 19th century and it includes a set of two houses, with other stone constructions, surrounded by 18,000 m2 of private land. Walnut trees, chestnut trees, camellias and hundred-year-old box trees, which, along with other plants, make up the outdoor area, where we also find a swimming pool.
We have managed to create a very cosy atmosphere in which to enjoy a pleasant breakfast in the dining room or rest in one of our 7 double rooms (one of them without physical barriers, but all equipped with a bathroom, TV with Canal +, telephone and heating).
El Cuco is a medium sized migrating bird that is characterized by nesting in other birds’ nests. La Pousada do Cuco offers you the chance to “nest” away from home, in our house.
