Once you get to Cuacos de Yuste, go towards the camp site.
Next, from that place, continue on an asphalted rural path and you will see the signs.

La Casona de Valfrío has also gardens with a swimming pool and golf green in order to practise this sport. You can rent mountain bicycles and there are many spots where trekking is possible.
Enjoy the environment, decoration, peace and nice things of a delightful lodging. It is especially recommended for people who look for peace and quiet as well as for couples.
La Casona de Valfrío is an old agricultural building which has been restored with stone, chestnut wood and baked clay. It has six double rooms, three of them are suites, with private bathroom, lounge with fireplace and library, courtyard with fountain and a dining room. While you have dinner in Valfrío, you will taste some elaborated menus that are carefully presented.
La Casona de Valfrío is located in the heart of nature, surrounded by oak trees and prairies. There are some wonderful views to the mountain.
It is not an appropriate or comfortable place to come with children because of its quiet environment. This house has not any spare bed, we do not prepare menus for children and there is not a special game area.
Activities
If you want to make trekking from La Casona de Valfrío, you just have to put your shoes on and walk. From this very house, some beautiful paths begin and will lead you to Roman bridges or wonderful gorges and waterfalls. You will always walk through an abundant nature.
La Casona de Valfrío is also the ideal place for people who love touring by bicycle if they feel like pedalling from the beginning of the day. Furthermore, you can rent mountain bikes in order that you do not have to bring yours.
We can also organize horse rides or Quad ones (four-wheel motorbikes).

The Comarca de la Vera (Vera region) offers a great number of places that are worth seeing.. Do it from a privileged location: from La Casona de Valfrío.
- Monastery in Yuste,
- the German graveyard,
- 5 towns in the Region which have been declared as historical-artistic heritage,
- Monfragüe Nature Reserve (30 kilometres away),
- the Jerte Valley (25 kilometres away)
- the monumental Plasencia city (38 kilometres away)
- and, of course, more than 50 natural gorges that are located in this area ...
