The Cortijo offers three double rooms (one that is perfectly adapted for disabled people) and a junior suite with hydro massage.
All bedrooms have a terrace or a balcony with beautiful views to the Mediterranean forest. They also have their own bathroom, with exterior views, bath and shower (except the room for disable people, that has only a shower), television, air conditioning and under floor heating.. The adapted room, situated on the ground floor, has a private garden.
In the cortijo restoration, the typical andalusian architecture has incorporated modern features, taking great care of the decor with crafted works in wood, wrought iron and ceramic.
The occupancy of the whole Cortijo for a week is offered, with a special price (from 16,00 h. on the first day to 12,00 on the departure day).
Spanish, English and French are spoken.

In a place situated in the heart of Andalusia, whose name you will never forget, there is a Cortijo located in a beautiful 7 Ha. private country estate with olive trees, almonds and wonderful centenary holm oaks. Set in a natural environment, on a hill, the Cortijo has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, such as Camarolos or the fantastic rock formation of the "Torcal Natural Park" in Antequera.
The Cortijo La Cañada del Sacristán (Sacristan’s Stream), that is situated in “El Brosque” of Villanueva del Rosario (Málaga), is visited by different animals such as rabbits, partridges, deer, wild boar and countless birds. It is possible to see them in our pools especially in spring (the most lovely and colourful season), and in autumn.
This classic and comfortable Cortijo has been restored from a simple andalusian cortijo ruin, and now offers an exclusive and perfect place to relax and enjoy leisure time, where you will find a friendly, professional and personal service.
The attention to detail, imagination and material quality is seen in the 4 different style of bedrooms, where breakfast and dinner (dinner by prior booking) are offered. The cortijo has a swimming pool with spa and parking next to the house.
One of its exterior terraces is connected with an ancient paved threshing floor, recognized as ethnologic heritage of Málaga, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
The cortijo is a rural house where the owners have their private spaces.
Activities
The activities offered in this open space and environment are numerous and stimulating. In the Cortijo you will find information about cultural, naturalistic or sporting places of the local, regional and provincial environment, as well as others of our autonomous region.
In the Cortijo, a small library is available, and for skilled people there is Spanish billiards.
The swimming pool (*) has a cross-current swimming system and hydro massage.
You can enjoy other activities in the open air, such as walking or biking following the signposted ways in this beautiful place. You can also play Petanque or frog game.
If you prefer, you can take part in the growing systems on the estate, we have olive trees, a kitchen garden and an orchard.
Besides, there are leisure centres to practise golf (like the Antequera Golf Club, among others), horse riding, powered flight, gliding, quad biking, nautical activities and clay pidgeon shooting.
We can’t forget the summer nights and the incredible views of the starry sky.
All our guests are invited to participate in a track game to know the environment, its monuments, nature, history and culture. Those finishing the game satisfactorily will be pleasantly rewarded.
The village of Villanueva del Rosario, where the Cortijo “La Cañada del Sacristán” is situated, north east of Malaga (Spain), is perfectly placed for access to the A92/M motorway, with it’s many interesting places along the route. There are two main airports within easy reach, Malaga at 40 km.. and Granada at 70 km., at 105 km. there is the Olympic ski resort of Sierra Nevada, 20 km.. to Antequera, 13 km.. to Archidona and 45 km to the famous Costa del Sol beaches.
Situated in a crossroads in the heart of Andalusia, villages such as Cordoba and Seville are near to the Cortijo (an excursion for a day).
Access:
- You must take exit number 16 of the main road A.92/M. Malaga-Granada.
- Drive past the entrance to the CAMPSA service station, then continue towards “El Brosque”, after 2,3 km. approx. you will find a sign indicating the direction of “Cortijo C.R. Cañada del Sacristan”. Take this track to the main entrance of the private country estate (1,1 km.)
Après un premier séjour au mois de mai dans ce charmant gîte, j´y suis retournée fin juin. J´ai été ravie par l´accueil chaleureux des propriétaires, la cuisine typique de Antonio (petit déjeuner et dîner), la discrétion de M-Carmen et surtout le cadre magnifique de cette agréable propriété où j´ai pu me reposer (les chambres et la salle de bains sont très confortables et la décoration est superbe) et profiter de la piscine. J´y retournerai volontiers dès que possible.

Estuvimos solo una noche de Sabado en hab. doble superior y tuvimos la inmensa suerte para nosotros (no tanto para los dueños) de ser los unicos huespedes. La casa es estupenda, muy bien decorada, sobriedad rustica de lujo enclavada en una finca de olivos. Resumiendo, alojamiento de mucha calidad, mimo en la atención de sus dueños. El desayuno en la terraza fué magnifico, mermeladas caseras, pan recien tostado, zumo recién exprimido, etc...
Quizás solo una pega en la cena, el punto de coccion

Fantástico fin de semana donde el entorno invita a la paz y tranquilidad. Todo muy cuidado y exquisito trato de los dueños; tienen una esmerada y de alta calidad gastronomia.. Además tienes posibilidades de hacer muchas excursiones porque hay buenas conexiones. A tener en cuenta para futuras ocasiones

Estuve en un puente para tomarme unos días de descanso y en La Cañada del Sacristán encontré tranquilidad que alterné con actividades, una gastronomía elaborada y exquisita, unas habitaciones espaciosas y muy bien decoradas y un trato personal y muy amable. Recomiendo este cortijo por su enclave y sus prestaciones. Despiertan la curiosidad del visitante con una divertida ruta de lugares de interés y una serie de preguntas que, si son correctamente respondidas, premian con una sorpresa.
