Casa Churchill is located in Claverol, a lovely small village, which is very well looked after and situated in the district of Pallars Jussà.
Walking up the street that branches off from the Pobla de Segur is a wonderful experience, as we gradually discover all the beauty of the valley and the snow covered peaks of the High Pyrenees, close to the French border, and all these picturesque images can be enjoyed from the Casa Churchill.
The houses in Claverol have a true medieval flavour to them, which is visible in the ruins of the ancient Watchtower.
The house has its origins back in the year 1670, a date which is found on the lintel of the main doorway.
It later gradually underwent some extension work, and the renovation was finally completed in 2006, becoming a place offering the maximum comfort, with all modern day services, while at the same time preserving all the warmth of its origins.
Its previous owner was nicknamed Churchill, which is where the house gets its name from.

You can get to Pobla de Segur along the C-13, from Barcelona/Madrid/Lleida or along the N-260 from France/Andorra/Vall d’Aran.
Once you get to Pobla, cross the Flamisell and Noguera Pallaresa rivers and then take the LV-5182 minor road which will take you to Claverol. At the entrance to the village, follow the signs for the Casa Churchill.

A real experience in just a short weekend stay. The terrace has a great view.. The warm, small indoor pool is perfect for a quick dip before dinner.. The house is full of the owners´ own individual mark making it an interesting place to stay.. The real surprise to me was the food.. I had not realised we had booked somewhere that was going to look after us so well when it came to eat! It was also a very sociable experience speaking during the afternoon and evening with the owners who were genuinely

No tinc ni un mes, i he marxat de vacances... Ha estat com estar a casa, la Teresa, la Francina i el Narcís ens han tractat de película. La casa i el menjar tampoc es poden millorar. Petonets des de Cubelles.

Sincèrement, nous sommes habitués à séjourner dans des chambres d´hôtes, en France et à l´étranger. Cependant, notre séjour à la Casa Churchill nous a permis de découvrir le top des chambres d´hôtes de ces dernières années: accueil, disponibilité, confort, discrétion, gastronomie (+++), ...
Tresa, Narcis et Francina sont des hôtes merveilleux: nous les feront connaitre à nos amis.

Cercàvem una setmana de tranquilitat i a més d´aconseguir-la plenament, hem gaudit d´una estada inoblidable, les vistes esplèndides, l´art i amor de la cuina de la Teresa, la professionalitat i bonhomia del Narcís i el bon fer de la Franzina.Us ho recomanem d´allò més,començareu amb un esmorzar completíssim i acabareu el dia amb un sopar ambientat excelsament corol.lat per un servei cuidat.
A més us aconsellaran de les activitats a fer i establiments de les rodalies on anar a dinar.

Queriamos desconectar de la gran ciudad y cargar pilas de nuevo, y esto en casa churchil se consigue gracias a su alojamiento fabuloso y sobre todo al trato recibido por parte de Narcis,Teresa y su hija que desde el primer dia hasta el ultimo nos han echo sentir como si fueramos de la familia. Echaremos de menos la cocina de Teresa que cada dia te sorprende con algo nuevo y diferente,y los consejos de Narcis para visitar toda la zona y no digamos de las tertulias, todo en conjunto inolvidab
