NEW: Casa WladiVal has a new small house, the Cristopher Columbus Little House, located in the garden and overlooking the Zêzere River. The little house has a small toilet with shower.. On the first floor there´s a very spacious double bedroom. The living room is on the ground floor and can easily be converted into the children´s bedroom.

Dornes is a place where one could travel back in time, incorporating local legends of magic and mystery.
In our terraced garden, if the weather is right, enjoy the shade of the several trees and the green lawn: both make for a great option for reading a book or just taking a siesta. You can also enjoy one of Valdemar’s caipirinhas or Wladimir’s massages. If you want to keep active, take advantage of outdoor activities such as biking, canoeing, hiking and fishing.
There are plenty of good restaurants in the city of Tomar, serving national and international food. If you cross the river Zêzere to the other side, you’ll be in Beira Baixa, one of the Old Portuguese provinces with lots of delicious regional dishes awaiting you.
Should you want to eat in-house, your hosts will also be able to provide you with drinks, snacks and several warm meals.
From the Algarve: 399km including 344km on motorways
a) Have your road map printed from where you are to Dornes and follow the instructions provided by the Route Planner.
b) Take one of the many trains going to Entroncamento. For timetable search and prices, please consult CP-Portuguese Railways. From Entroncamento train station to Casa Wladival in Dornes is approximately 30 minutes by taxi. VERY IMPORTANT: Agree in advance the price with the taxi driver!
c) Alternatively and if booked in advance with us, we can pick you up when you arrive either at Lisbon Airport or at Entroncamento train station. The related costs will be dependent from the number of nights you are staying with us..

We had a wonderful vacation in our house you arranged for us and even if we were not living in your guesthouse, we got the impression that it has a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Excellent view and Dornes is very charmful!
It´s even more peaceful than Sweden!

We just got back from a week-end in Casa Wladival and we had a great time. On top a very charming region and beautiful surroundings, the house itself is very confortable and more than well decorated. The garden and the lake make it very close to heaven.. And they really know how to make you feel at home!

we stayed 2 nights in May, 2008. We loved it there. The owners and staff were great, the food was great, the room was great.. Dornes itself is great. I am not sure of our exact dates there we spent 3 weeks in Portugal so I will put down a day, however, chances are it may not be accurate

Casa WladiVal is tastefully decorated, with a very nice backgarden with the most splendorous view. We are very nicely welcomed by Wladimir and Valdemar and Doerak and Bea, the dogs, of course!
The breakfast is very nice and filling, I enjoyed the strawberries ´touch´, very tasteful.
Dornes is a very beautiful and misterious place which we recommend to all ages and budgets. Good luck and keep up the good work!
Casa Wladival is in a superb location, breath taking views. You can both do a lot and nothing, whatever you want. My 3 day stay over there with a group of friend was perfect. We felt at home, in an easy going atmosphere, intimate and at the same time everyone had his/her space. We were very well looked after, we were pampered and got 1st class service.
