Activities

There is a huge variety of leisure on offer , including a summer cinema, music pubs, a disco and even a night-time market . Between June and September, it runs an extensive cultural programme including concerts in the Moorish Castle , theatre plays, sports competitions, theme- based exhibitions and local festivals. The cultural activity of the town runs throughout the year, given that in the autumn and winter months there are also numerous interesting events.

Discovering the surrounding area of Salobreña on foot, by bike or 4x4 is yet another of the possibilities on offer to visitors. Hiking offers everything from short two hour routes, with very low difficulty for beginners, where they can discover the subtropical plantations or the cliffs, to greater difficulty hiking routes, which will enable you to link up with the longer range routes.

Interesting places

Salobreña overlooks the sea from its high and beautiful Castle. The Granadina town offers visitors a universe that goes far beyond the offer of sun and beach tourism, and brings together tradition, history and an unbeatable natural environment.

Salobreña offers its visitors very long beaches such as La Guardia, El Peñón or La Punta del Río, equipped with clothes lockers, free showers, lifeguards and first aid centre, beach police, daily cleaning service of solids in the sand and water, sun lounger and parasol rental and watersports .

However, in Salobreña you can also enjoy its small coves such as the Caleton, el Pargo or el Cambron, with less services, but at the same time more peaceful and relaxing, where you can go diving or fishing.

The rugged cliff like scenery with its rich and varied autochthonous underwater flora and fauna make the Salobreña coastline a very interesting and ideal place for underwater diving. The proximity of the mountain rock faces to the sea, and especially the high temperatures in winter produce heat currents that have enabled enthusiasts to go paragliding, a sport that attracts thousands of young people from all over Europe.

In the centre of the Costa Tropical, we find Salobreña. The visitor will be surprised by the white silhouette of its houses, climbing up a mountain face and crowned by a fortress, with its sea washing its vale of sugar cane.
