The owner´s comments

“El Molino” (the mill) is a singular spot to enjoy a typical house full of corners which have been treated with the greatest affection. It has nine different, nice and comfortable rooms.

It is located in the northern hillside of Sierra de Guadarrama and surrounded by the meadow of the town called Collado Hermoso and the old river which is called in the same way. From its garden, you can enjoy some really wonderful views where the surprising remains of an old Cistercian monastery of the 12th century stand out. These remains are surrounded by the oak woods which are known as “La Mata del Cura” (the priest´s bush) and “La Mata Pirón” (the Pirón bush) and the gorge where the river “Viejo” (old) begins.

This mill, which has been designated as a "Hotel con encanto" (charming hotel) by guidebooks, magazines and directories of Spain and the rest of Europe, offers you an unrepeatable place to spend your time watching an unrivalled landscape. 

Some minutes away, you can visit such lovely places like Valsaín, La Granja, Riofrío, Segovia, Sepúlveda, “Las Hoces del Duratón” (nature reserve). You may also take a walk along the royal cattle tracks, the G.R. paths, the few spots in this country where the shearing is still practised, as well as through woods of “sabinas” (Juniperus Thurifera), beech and pine trees...

You will get to feed your body and spirit with culture, sport, gastronomy and landscapes in this place.
