Protected by the last foothills of the mountains, where the river Guadiana flows slowly stroking the first waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Sanlúcar and Alcoutím (Spain and Portugal) appear like two shells full of white houses.You can find "Los Molinos" on the banks of the river Guadiana, close to Sanlúcar and always looking at Portugal. Sanlúcar still preserves the same charm of the small towns in Andalusia, places where life passes with the calmness of the past.

"Los Molinos" Boarding House and our Rural Houses have been decorated with warm and comfortable atmospheres. Every one of the rooms has its own charm. And the affection with which they have been prepared can be felt in each one of their corners.

In this Boarding House, there are groups of four bedrooms into independent houses with lounge and fireplace of exclusive use for those four bedrooms. Every bedroom has an inner bathroom, television set, air conditioning and heating. They all have wonderful views of the river Guadiana and Portugal.

Our houses are totally equipped and the lounge and rooms are air-conditioned. Each one of them has two double rooms, lounge-kitchen and bathroom, fireplace and terrace facing the river from where you can contemplate every boat sailing up or down the river as far as Mértola or Ayamonte.

“Los Molinos” has been short-listed in the “I Premio Joven Empresario” (young businessman prize) of the province of Huelva.

Interesting places

As we are located halfway the mountain and the beach, our visitors will find easy to visit some spots of great beauty and interest from here.  Interesting visit to the “Sierra de Aracena” and its “Grutas de las Maravillas” (caverns of wonders), as well as the surroundings of the park, the towns and their beloved corners.

Going down towards Andévalo, you should stop at Riotinto. An old mining train takes visitors for a ride along the riverbed. You can also visit the museum and “Corta Atalaya” (the biggest opencast mine in Europe).

The “Parque Nacional de Doñana” (national park) affords you the opportunity of watching some different species in their natural habitat.

Beaches like the ones of Isla Cristina, Lepe and Ayamonte, which have some kilometres of fine sand, receive our visitors during the hottest months.One more appeal is the proximity of the border with the “Algarve portugués” (Portuguese Algarve), whose landscapes, gastronomy, long-standing customs, craftsmanship, folklore and markets will delight all of those who are looking for the contrast between two cultures which are so near and different at the same time.
